  1. UGH! back from the best weekend I've had in a veeeeeeeery long time and now I'm in full denial that I'm throwing a partay at my house this weekend. Annnnnnd the inlaws are coming to stay. At least I'll have my dd back. She's been 400 miles away with said inlaws having the time of her life. I told her she's going to get super constipated and scream and...
  2. We've had friends visiting from Spokane since Friday. Had a great time with them. We went to a big fundraiser on Saturday night in which I was drinking straight Grey Goose by the end of the night But, we got to party with Tommy Thayer from KISS and his barely legal wife. He was really nice and he ended up playing guitar with the band for half the night...
  3. I tried this, and it backfired. I don't let the kids watch more than an hour of tv each day and I have them outside playing, doing chores and activities, etc... He watched football on the main floor all weekend and they watched movies in the basement all weekend. He didn't see what the big deal was. Perhaps I should of made a list of what I do daily for...
  4. My 6yo says almost daily, "If I could have 1 wish in the whold world, it would be that I could eat gluten again." Breaks my heart (even though I know this is a much healthier lifestyle for him!)

  7. Where did they go..... I've done some ancestry stuff, but it gives me a headache. I know that I'm a 4th generation product of the Hatfield and McCoy 'union' My great grandma is in a book that was written about it. All my Canadian relatives we've only dated back to the early-mid 1800's, but I don't know any of their stories. Both sides of...

  9. We went to dinner for our anniversary on Saturday night at this place, Oba. Huge gluten-free menu, you must all come over and we'll all go together! Anyway, the service there is EXCEPTIONAL!! And when Jesse inquired about the Kobe beef entree, our waitress told us all about the cow... Which farm, how it's raised, what it's fed, how old they are, how they...

  12. I make sure the kids aren't around when he's around. They're usually so exhausted from running around, swimming and hiking all day that they both pass out around 8pm. They're NEVER there when the antics start. I make sure of that!! The Demarle pans I have are even floppier than the silicone bakeware they sell at the store. You have to put them on...
  13. He's not around my kids very often at all. He's never been allowed to keep them by themselves. When he's not drinking,he's OK, its just unpredictable. As for the invitations, can't answer that one. The funny thing was, overall, we had a great time. I just laughed about it all because, really, what else could I do?! I just sat back and watched everyone else...
  14. Ok, here's the rest: Wednesday-My sister finally arrived!!!! I left Jesse with the kids and we went for an incredible 5 mile walk. Then we came back, packed everyone up and went into town to get a park pass so we could go hiking. This pass is sold at the Shell station which is also a restaurant/ice cream parlor/convenient/liquor/clothing and sundry...
  15. I need to give a bit of dramatous background here. So, my dad and I don't have a great relationship. Not sure there was ever a time where he was faithful to my mom and the nail in his coffin was when I was 12 and I was a nanny for my parent's BFFs. We did everything with them and their kids were my brother and sister's best friends as well. I sat for...

  17. I'll start this and may have to do it in chunks- Saturday morning-3 hours late leaving the house. 10 minutes from house I get a 300$ speeding ticket in a work zone Technically, I was speeding, but it was a total trap-Promise!! Drive like my mother (slooooooooooow) the rest of the way, takes an hour longer than it should have. Got to the "resort...
