  1. Wow... thanks for the amazing story. I'm so happy for you. He went from ... well, half-dead untreated Celiac to "the picture of health"?! Wow! I guess it really is true that our body can heal if we give it what it needs.
  2. Lucky you, I'm having a hard time read/focus right now. But I'm so used to it that I just do it anyway and live with stupid mistakes etc.
  3. what are different things that you usually order?
  4. exactly, everyone reacts differently some worst than others. although you may have exaggerated a little, I completely agree with you. I think that the way we eat and the chemicals we're exposed to on a daily basis are the main reasons why 99% of the population has problems. Everyone has problems, haven't you noticed? ADD, tired as hell, allergies, you name...
  5. I see, but the symptoms are different aren't they?
  6. Thanks for the quick response! I hate to keep going off-topic, but what's the difference between intolerant and allergic? isn't being casein intolerant w/out being allergic enough for brain fog, constipation, etc?
  7. Yes that's true... people say it's amazing how much we know nowadays. I say it's amazing how much we don't know! And if you guys don't mind, I need to throw in a quick question... is it possible to be casein intolerant without having milk allergies or casein allergies? they're different things right?
  8. Uh oh. What have I started? Anyway... I think my question is pretty much answered now. So from what I gathered, having IGA anitgladins means that I'm intolerant... but I might as well call myself Celiac, because even if I'm not, I will be... or somehtin glike that =p
  9. The topic title says it all! edit: Aren't they the exact same thing? Doesn't finding out that I have active Antigliadins IGA automatically mean that I'm Celiac? Because if I'm intolerant, then doesn't that make me Celiac?
  10. You definitely sound to me like you could have Celiac. If I don't get hardly any gas or D, but major C and not very much bloating... and I have a hard time gaining weight, are the chances of me being Celiac still very possible? I have MAJOR brain fog... the worst. Legs cramp and feel stiff all the time. Hands and feet tingle a lot.
  11. Not to change the topic, but I was wondering if I could throw a quick question in this thread. "If I see 'Whey' as an ingredient, does that mean I shouldn't eat the food?"
  12. Does anyone know if the Ready Pac salads are gluten free? I'm not an expert at reading ingredient labels yet, but it sure did look gluten-free to me. The only thing I'm questioning is the dressing that comes with it. Thanks a bunch! P.S. I buy my Ready Pac salads from Costco edit: I also have a few quick questions to throw in here... what about...
  13. what does DH mean? and also, a quick random question, what does dx mean? diagnosed?
  14. thanks for the info!
  15. Wrong person, you meant Fiddle Faddle=p
  16. What are eggplants and do most pizza places have them? sorry in advance, if that was a retarded question.
  17. I was thinking, if I ever get caught eating out would it be a good risk to just order romaine lettuce with chicken on it and oil and vinegar.... It probably wouldn't be that great, but at least I don't have to worry too much about gluten? Because wouldn't even the ranch sauce, ceasar sauce etc most likely have gluten? the only way I can think of that...
  18. I just e-mailed you. Thanks so much, in advance!
  19. I'm 6' and only weight 170... I'd love to gain 30 lbs. Hopefully that'll happen now that I'm starting my gluten-free diet.
  20. That's nothing! I forget to start up my car. Forget to grab something in the morning multiple days in a row. Often forget what I'm doing. Just pretty much feel like I can't use my brain at all.
  21. Yeah that's pretty much what I figured...
  22. thanks angel! I wasn't sure... usually when I eat my stomach will get pretty big. Now I'm a skinny guy (6' and 170 lbs), but how do you tell if it's bloating or just because you ate a lot? I did a google search but it's too hard to even focus right now. If I don't feel rumbling or feel anything there really, can it still be bloating? edit: Also, are...
  23. You can try this page from Celiac.com: https://www.celiac.com/st_main.html?p_catid=12
  24. Does Celiac get worse? For example, I'm 19 now but if I waited until I was 30 would my symptoms get much worse? Logic tells me that the answer is yes, but I'm wondering if anyone would know from experience. Edit: OMG, brain fog... I meant worse, not worst
  25. I guess I just want an official diagnoses until I start the diet. I took the sensitivty stool test or what not... and was tested positive and in the e-mail, I should stay gluten-free for life. I've been told that's all the diagnoses I need. So I'm thinking of probably going gluten-free starting in August, or next time I go grocery shopping. But thanks...
