  1. I hope everyone in the US just had a wonderful thanksgiving. I think I've gotten of non-glutened from the neighbor's house (brought my own food, though) and most likely non-food poisoned (turkey wasn't exactly done, the microwave ended up helping up with it ). Kassandra, That sounds a lot like a herx! Funny thing is recording the symptoms you're having...
  2. Kassandra, It seems like your doctors are chasing down all these little fires while ignoring the raging inferno that's causing them to spring up. Your plan sounds like an effective one, hopefully it will work out! to everyone, and a very blessed Thanksgiving!
  3. Very interesting. My LLMD tests all of his incoming patients for this, but I had never heard of it before, thanks for sharing.
  4. Kassandra, it's abominable that your insurance is holding this up for you. Andrea, It's great to be posting again! Hey, Morgan!! It's lovely to meet you! Before I went gluten free I was chocolate addict and always had incredibly low magnesium levels, now my magnesium levels have come up I'm still addicted. The only problem...
  5. Carla, Wow... Kassandra, To echo everyone else, why aren't any of your dr's doing anything for you? I hope everything gets sorted out with IgeneX very soon, and that you start getting your IVs. Rachel, Congratuations on your DMPS results! Andrea, I know you asked me a while back if I'd done BioSet before. Yes, I did it for about...
  6. Lisa, Those definitely sounds like toxins. Carla, Thank you for the info! I looked at the site and am definitely going to be bringing this in to discuss with my naturopath. I just wonder if I can tolerate the black walnut oil. I've been anaphylactically allergic to them nearly my entire life, but have taken it before without any problems. Definitely...
  7. I just did something incredibly stupid. Yesterday a compact florescent bulb broke late at night, and I didn't have time to deal with it so I just let it sit there for about 18 hours. Then, when I cleaned it up today I picked up the pieces (along with the glass parts of the lamp it broke with) with my bare hands, and vacuumed up the mess. About halfway...
  8. Carla, Thanks for even more clarification. The doctor's not only competent, but he's so nice, too! At this point Mom doesn't feel that I'm not up to the antibiotics, I have numerous GI problems (seeing a pediatric GI specialist next week, too) and other unrelated parasites. She wants to work the the naturopath to get me fixed up a bit so that I can handle...
  9. Andrea, Thank you for you explanation! I'm going to be waiting 3 months before I get any more treatment, but I'm going to be getting the blood drawn for the first two sets of labs tomorrow, and should get the results back in about a week. The first set will have a copy set to my house, and the second set the Dr. will forward on to me. The nurse also gave...
  10. Carla, Thanks! Andrea, I thought he was going to do a full work up, but he kind of surprised me. I think I'm quite happy with the direction we're going. I was definitely a "difficult" child, from may perspectives. You're littlest one has it rough, though. Julie, Thanks! I've been meaning to look up maladapted milieu for a while,...
  11. Hello, everyone. :-) I've been "eavesdropping" on you for a few weeks now, and have just finally encouraged myself to post! I've had terrible allergies all of my life (down to 10 foods at 2yrs old), bacterial dysbiosis, candida, metal toxicity (not very much, though), and adrenal fatigue. I've improved a lot after doing a bunch of alternative things...
  12. I pre-ordered this book on Amazon and read it in a day. It is amazing. I've read her blog for the past few months (Open Original Shared Link) and her book made me fall in love with food again.
  13. I was diagnosed a little over a month before my 17th birthday. Post-daignosis I actually have the energy to do all those things my friends were doing that I couldn't keep up with. I found it very liberating (after reading every book I could get my hands on and educating my family about what I could eat (good thing, too, since 2 others have just been...
  14. Very, very, very strict. As someone here said before, going 90% gluten free does not get rid of 90% of your symptoms. It's an all-or-nothing situation, unfortunately.
