  1. I'm sorry Julie. :(
  2. No Kassandra! That's not what I need to hear!!! *covers ears* Lalalalala. At this point I'm pretty safe from e-coffee since I can't ever see my Mom approving of me doing one. Rachel, That's fascinating information! Could you please post the links to these artciles, I'd like to print them out for my naturopath/Biotset practitioner to read...
  3. Kassandra! I've been considering doing a casein challenge myself, although I know it would disagree with me a lot. You're being a bad inspiration! I do hope you feel better soon. :( *hides from the e-coffee*
  4. Ok... Sunkissed Fair semi-matte review: It matches my skin rather well, except it turned out very pink (I'm going to wash out my flat-topped brush and try again) and didn't match my neck at all. Semi-matte stays on my skin far better than the intensive, but it's not quite matte enough. On my eyes I used Snowflakes on the lash line and Sunlight Concealer...
  5. Paula, For the past month and a half I've had red, itchy rash on my arms (thank goodness it's winter!). I think it's definitely from toxins, but the Epsom Salt bath I took last night helped it. Maybe you should back off on detoxing for a while--focus on the binders to bind up the toxins in your body instead of releasing more from your tissue. HAPPY...
  6. I usually buff in well 3-4 layers starting with matte and then following with intensive. I also use quite a bit more powder than is recommended or I don't get the coverage I need. I buff it in really well, but I find that if I buff it in too much with too little powder it just wears away the layers so my skin shows through faster.
  7. Julie, I generally stopped doing the baths because they contributed to my back pain (vertebrae sticking into the tub ), my periods were long and the only time I felt toxic "enough" to take them was right in the middle of one, and they have in the past made me feel very lightheaded, hot, nausea, and caused heart palpitations/irregularities. However, I...
  8. Ok everyone, I rather fell off the makeup wagon, but am jumping back on! Today I just received my order of: Lavender Everyday Everywear Sunlight Color Corrector Waffle Cone Beige-Fairly Light Matte Beige-Sunkissed Fair Semi-Matte Beige-Sandy Fair Intensive I was going to try all of the foundation shades, but Sandy Fair matched perfectly...
  9. Those are fascinating articles, Rachel. I'm wondering now if I should try to have another Bioset appointment to check out my sulfur pathways. I know I react to sulfa drugs, and to sodium laurel/laureth sulfate, etc. I'd like to start doing the baths again, though. At least that is great news. Lisa, I also use that makeup, and it's FANTASTIC...
  10. Kass, Glad you got back for your appointment! Can't wait to hear about it! Heh, I should probably ask the LLMD about this... can't believe it slipped my mind! Sarah and Andrea, Wonderful to "see" you two. Rachel, That information is fascinating. Especially the part about the histamines. I've noticed that my main symptom when I become more...
  11. I've also been wondering where Jin is, Nyxie. Glad to hear that you're responding to the meds! :D Kassandra, I hope you get back in time for your appointment! Everyone, I had an appointment with the GI dr today. He talks a bit too much, and doesn't really listen, but I like him anyway. He says that the biopsy from my endoscopy doesn't indicate...
  12. Nyxie, That's wonderful news!!! Well, the finally having a diagnosis part at least! :D Kassandra and Carla, So jealous! Sounds like you two are having so much fun! Birdy
  13. Hey Everyone, I'm just hanging out here... too tired to post. Birdy
  14. Andrea, It's wonderful to see you around again! I hope you and the kids are feeling better. April, I hope you get this detox thing sorted out. Hah... I suppose I should actually provide a link to that article, eh? Open Original Shared Link
  15. Kassandra, Yay for the new carpet! And the new insurance!! Sorry about the Meprone, though. LoriG, Welcome here, as Carla said, stick around you've found the right place... and you'll eventually get better. Everyone, I had an appointment with the Naturopath today (who does TBM). I have a cold so I couldn't do an ionic footbath, and she found...
  16. J/A/S/O/N has a cream with cocoabutter in it. It felt rather thick/sticky on my skin, though, and made me itch, but that has more to do with my other allergies/sensitivities. It's gluten-free, and I found it at the GNC. Queen Helene is the brand that Mango's referring to, and that one's my favorite.
  17. *has a batch of snickerdoodles in the oven* I haven't made these since November (I finally found some lard ). :D Today's been a bad day as far as pain goes, so that's really all I have to say. Birdy
  18. Hey Everyone, Today's been a "bad" day, so I'm not even dressed yet. No makeup for me today. Yesterday I went over to my friend's house (who I converted to EM) and we had a bit of eyeshadow fun. I sold her my ChitChat blush (too pink for me!) and my Silk Dust powder, and she gave me a sample of Sunkissed Fair foundation to try, since she agrees...
  19. That's a great idea! I'll have to check and see if we have any around. I just bought a big bottle of Sweet Almond oil. My skin seems to tolerate that well, along with EVOO and Sunflower oil. I also bought a small bottle of Grapeseed oil to test later. No makeup today... I've been testing out using a "conditioner-only" wash method on my hair, and it...
  20. My "migratory arthritis" (as the LLMD calls it) has taken up residence in my left hand... seems to be scoping out the real estate of my right. In my case I think it's the Lyme... but it could also be detoxing. Heavy metals especially are known to cause joint problems. Carla, I hope you and Adam feel better soon! Donna, Sounds like a wonderful...
  21. April, That's infuriating! A HEPA filter would help with eliminating the mold spores, not sure how expensive it would be, though. Birdy
  22. All of those look good except for the soy, "acacia decurrens flower wax", and, of course, flavor. Hm... that's a great idea... I'll experiment with that before I clean up tonight. I made my own chapstick a while ago.
  23. Oh, yes, but those have peppermint in them. Silly allergies.
  24. It's kind of like a square dance... only danced in lines (and far more fun... and without costumes ). Or like a more energtic version of the dancing in the Jane Austen movies. It takes a lot of energy, though, but it's worth the spoons. Hm... that's interesting, although I've been compared to Snow White before! I noticed that when I wasn...
  25. Charlie, I know this sounds really gross... but have you thought about using organ meats? Apparently they have a higher fat content than the muscle meat. Everyone, I'm almost certain I have Babesia. Yesterday I went to a contradance (was only able to dance about half the time ) and during the middle of the second-to-last dance I started having...
