ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
ShadowSwallow replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Yep... I get that sensation... It's so weird. Once I was sobbing and yet part of my mind just stepped away and was observing and commenting on what I was doing perfectly calmly and rationally. -

That's too funny! I usually push myself too hard when I really want to do something, then crash, then complain to my (very patient) friends, then repeat. Not that I'd recommend this, of course. I'm still dealing with accepting my limitations, and discovering what they really are, and working out how to find the balance between being satisfied... -

Hmph, I had all of what I wanted to reply to all typed up and then someone closed the window. Julie, Thanks for asking, I've just finished a long (2wk-month) herx/flare. I've been pushing myself too hard (again) and have been pushed too hard by circumstances/people. It's nice to be feeling better again (after about a month on abx I started feeling... -

Kassandra, Can't wait to hear about your appointment. Sorry that you need to go on the IV abx, but I'm glad you guys have a plan. Everyone, I'm just keeping up here. Ups and downs... emotionally down a lot. And I'm not on the computer as much as I used to be. Birdy -

Guess who did a casein challenge. I'm on cloud 9 mentally... totally loopy. Hopefully my GI tract won't catch on, though. -

Ok, all caught up. You're taking reglan? My LLMD just started me on it... or, rather, he wanted me on it starting about 3wks ago but I'm having such a hard time fitting it into my med/supp schedule. Welcome, Little Miss! Yep, I'm 17. -

Kassandra, That stinks! Donna, I'm glad you're doing a bit better. Jin, Sorry about your experience on LymeChat. It's glad to see you around again, though. Everyone, I've had to start using a topical steroid for my skin... and it's helped. I'm glad the rash is gone, but that's very frustrating. Birdy -

Hey Everyone, I'm just following along now... laying low. About a week ago I went to the naturopath, and we did some muscle testing about my liver detoxification (she didn't know anything about the information I brought to her *sigh* ). Apparently my sulfitization pathway is fine, along with the Phase I detoxification, but most of the pathways for Phase... -

Yes, definitely... and sometimes it's a fascinating, exciting mystery, but at other times it's incredibly frustrating. With all this talk about livers I did some poking around about general detoxification pathways. Here's an excellent article that explains it, and it lists different foods that help/impair different phases. Very, very interesting... -

Thanks, Andrea. Thank you. Yes, those are exactly my thoughts. I know lyme is a stressor... every time I flared (monthly) before I would become reactive to another food... but there's more. I'm hoping these things with the PST will answer a lot of questions, but I know metals are in there somewhere. Oh, if only being sick... -

April, Once source I read said that if the digestive system is deficient in enzymes it ends up robbing them from the other systems (like the immune system). Which leads to imbalances in th1/th2 and problems with PST things, to name two examples. It was very interesting. There was also an article (I just read the summary, it was one of those journals... -

Now that I think about it... I really should've checked with them. I'll be calling first thing Monday... definitely. My carpel tunnel I linked to computer/writing/piano/knitting it cleared up once I took a break from all of them at once, rather suddenly. It doesn't come back unless I overdo it, and it was only in my right hand. On the other... -

I have a number I could call... but I called them two/three days ago... so I thought I'd wait until Monday. Also, I know it's not joint pain, because it's not in the joint, but on top of my hands and under my writs (where I had carpal tunnel pain when I had it in my right hand. As I said... it's no in the joint, but the baths are helping a lot... -

Rachel, All that scientific-ness is fascinating. I'm so happy for you that (hopefully) some of the final pieces of your puzzle are falling into place. :D Kassandra, How've you been doing lately? I hope you feel better soon, Donna! And you too Glass House. I haven't been feeling too well myself, but I got up the courage to try the Lavender Everydaywear. It's a rather heavy... way too heavy to be worn under foundation during the day, but it's wonderful to put on at night! It gets absorbed into the skin... and isn't lavender supposed... -

Donna, I hope you feel better soon! Rachel, That is so exciting!! I can't wait to hear more! I've been doing some of my own scientificness research on th1/th2 immune system. There's an article that I'm trying to get my hands on about how heavy metals keep the immune system in a "th2" state. Very interesting.... Birdy -

Kassandra, I've found that muscle testing at home is quite unreliable for me. Usually we only test when Mom and I disagree on something, and then our results differ from when she tests me and my sister tests me. Birdy -

Happy Easter! :D Mia, glad things are going well for you! Aziza, welcome, you've come to the perfect place. Rachel, I've found that the epsom salt baths are making a huge difference in my histamine levels (with them I don't break out into hives every time I brush my skin). However, I haven't found any pattern in the foods/things I'm sensitive... -

Ok, here are my reviews for the first three categories of the Buff Category: Overall there isn't much difference in the shades, but a lot of variety in how pink/orange/yellow they are. Sandy Fair: tending more yellow than pink, this is the best match for me. Sunkissed Fair: more pink than multitasking! Doesn't match my neck at all... although I can...
