JustMe75 replied to Jamie's topic in Traveling with Celiac Disease
We were is San Diego last month and there is so many choices I want to live there. There is a Pei Wei, Chipolte and a Z Pizza. In Poway there is a Red Brick pizza and in Temecula there is a Pizza Fusion. But my absolute favorite is that the Whole Foods in La Jolla (right by San Diego) serves gluten free deli sandwiches made to order! They were the best! Amazing... -

ARCHIVED What Else Can I Eliminate? I Still Don't Feel Better.
JustMe75 replied to B R I A N A's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Ok I might be over-reacting but we were considering eliminating soy and we realized it is in 95% of what she is eating. What do you eat when you are vegan and can't have soy? She cannot survive on fruits and veggies! Is there a soy free dairy free butter? Does anyone know which rice milk is gluten free? -

JustMe75 replied to B R I A N A's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Thank you all for your advice. I am Briana's mom and I suggested that she post on here for help since the doctor is getting a little frustrated with us. I think we will try eliminating the soy and try rice milk, which brands are good and gluten free? She eats a LOT of potatoes. She is taking the methylcobalamin form sublingual B12 but I think I am going... -

ARCHIVED Barley Grass And Wheat Grass
JustMe75 replied to JustMe75's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Yeah, I will try and call them. I actually heard about it at a Wellness party and I asked one of the girls who was presenting it and she said she had called them because her cousin is gluten free and the company said it is safe. I got concerned when I read the ingredients and saw the words "wheat" grass and "barley" grass and she kept saying they were safe... -

Does anyone know if wheat grass and barley grass are gluten free? I am assuming they are not but I thought I heard somewhere they are ok for some reason. I found this vitamin/anti-oxidant drink that contains both and would like to try it. The brand is Symmetry and the product is Genesis. Anyone heard of it? -

ARCHIVED Why Isn't Gluten In The "top" Allergens?
JustMe75 posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Ok, I'm sure someone has already asked this but I searched like crazy and couldn't find anything. Why isn't gluten one of the top allergens according to the FDA food labeling? From what I could find it looks like including people with celiac and gluten intolerance it must be as common as wheat, fish, peanut, soy, dairy, eggs and fish allergies. I know... -

ARCHIVED Cushion's Disease And Celiac?
JustMe75 replied to annapumpkin's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I was thinking Habba too, Judyin Philly. I saw a show on Discovery Health Channel about it and the woman who had it said she had uncontrollable diarrhea and had accidents too. Its a simple fix, you take a bile binding pill called cholestyramine 1/2 hour before meals and the problem goes away. I would look into it, maybe even call that Dr Habba since I... -
Thank you for understanding gfp. Like I said I don't have a diagnosis so I don't know that eating the pizza did any damage to me. I am choosing to be on the diet against what doctors and tests are tellng me. I guess I shouldn't have said I would cheat if I had a diagnosis but no symptoms because I don't think I would. Of course I would want to be around for...
