  1. Andrea, I'm trying! Susie, Yeah, I'm glad the buggies are dying off. Think it's part of my OCD to know the "why" of everything. Julie, The hida scan is to check gallbladder function. I've had the same pain for 3 months now, non-stop, but they can't find any stones or sludge. Which leaves either a functional problem or it's not the gallbladder...
  2. It doesn't matter, I guess. I won't permanently stop taking either med. Just want to satisfy my own curiosity. It'd be nice to know what causes what. And we're supposed to be getting your snow as rain here. Just checked the weather forecast. Like the area doesn't have enough flooding right now. Oh well. Still, would rather have rain than snow,...
  3. Susie and Carla, Thanks! Hate it when I have really vivid dreams at night then feel disoriented for the first few hours after waking up. It's like I didn't come all the way back. Will just take the nystatin today and see if that's it. Hopefully the script for doxy comes in today so I can start that tomorrow. Carla, Wow! What great progress...
  4. Julie, thanks for asking. I'm doing ok. Was exhausted yesterday and am still kinda tired today. The hida scan wasn't fun. Boring, yes. But they gave me this godawful "ice cream" stuff to eat. Don't think there was a single natural ingredient in it. Bleah! Got nauseous and the abdominal pain got worse, so I'm guessing that's a "good" sign? Dunno...
  5. And on that note, if they do blood testing for metals, the best test would be an RBC elements blood test. This is where they take a look at what's in your red blood cells themselves, not what's circulating in the serum. This will give a better idea of what's actually in the tissues.
  6. We got home about an hour ago. Whew! I'm beat and heading in to take a nap soon. Thanks for all the congrats! I must say I'm glad to finally have a dx after all this time. Have mixed feelings about the lyme&co stuff but watcha gonna do? They're not going to start treating anything else with abx until next month when the rest of the test...
  7. Well, I finally got this laptop thing figured out. Now if only I'd quickly get used to the small keyboard. But I digress.... I have lyme!!!!! Chronic lyme at that. And probably babs and possibly bart. They ordered a whole lot more testing (12 tubes of blood worth). Getting titres and RNA tests done for both babs and bart through Igenex. Also being...
  8. Sorry Lisa. That message was for Lori. I'm an idiot.
  9. Big week! Big week! Big week! Bouncy Bouncy!!!! Today's allergy testing and getting the last minute stuff together for tomorrow. Oh yeah, and packing. Tomorrow's my appt at Dr H's office. Might take my laptop with me and post something tomorrow night, provided I can figure out how to get the darned thing to work. Wednesday, drive home...
  10. Updatey stuff.... Had a day out yesterday. Got out of the house for a couple of hours. Had to run down to the ex-LLMD's office and pick up my records. There's a way to burn 3 hours. Then I hit the local Trader Joe's. Not impressed at all. For some reason, I'd been expecting more of an interntional market kind of thing. They did have some good...
  11. Hmmm... I've see portable hyperbaric chambers. My Holistic MD's office has one. Sherry, wonder if you can rent one?
  12. Carla, Dang woman! You look good even on a bad day. I'm reserving 30 seconds later on tonight to hate you. And in other news..... Feeling much better today. Still spacey/woozy (but when aren't I?). Don't have the weakness today and the air hunger has definitely improved. Endured Day 1 of allergy testing. 3 more to go. Its not...
  13. The TJs in Devon has a pretty good selection. At least they did. Haven't been there in awhile. You might try there. Kimberton Whole Foods (not the same as Whole Foods) has a really good selection of gluten-free products and they're very gluten knowledgable. They even color-code the price tags on the shelves to indicate whether a product contains gluten...
  14. Rachel, Interesting though about the lack of emzymes and "healthyy" foods. I didn't eat much avocado or nuts prior to the candida diet. Think ART would help determine this? ---------------- Had another thought. I quit smoking about a week ago. Now, ever time i quit in the past, I'd get something liek a flu. Wouldn't go away until i started smoking...
  15. Btw, how long does something like this last? days, weeks? trying to figure out ho wi'm going to get to the dr's office tomorrow for allergy etesting. If I'm still dizzy like this, not gonna even attempt driving.
  16. I've had night swest every night for about 3 years. Thye range between minorly annouing (damp) to trying to find a dry pillow. usually only chest, neck and head are affected. I've suepcted babs for awhile. Think i'll try a detox bath once hubby gets up. need someone avail to take the dog out. good grief! Yesterday sounds like one o fthose days...
  17. Ok, need some help here. Dunno if i'm herxing or what. Dizzy, light headed, legs are weak, air hunger. Need to hold onto things to walk. just started this morning. does it sound like a flare or a yeast die off? Gallbladder's realy bad this morning too. Stools have been graygreen for 2 days now. lots of mucus. don't think any of this is realted...
  18. E-coffee and liver/gallbladder info: Open Original Shared Link And some excellent info and preparation details on how to e-coffee: Open Original Shared Link
  19. But I wanted to feel springtime fresh! LOL! Thanks. While I still prefer ingesting coffee through a different orifice, I'm not against doing this again. Apparently, I needed a good housecleaning anyway. I've found a couple of links on e-coffee and liver/gallbladder. Looks like its good for you. Hm. I'll post them below. I've...
  20. I thought I was cutting out all carbs. Will go over everything again. Also realized that part of my problem could be my gallbladder. The amount of fats I've been eating the past few days has increased. Even if they're "good fats", my body is probably not liking it at all. Will be getting a Hida scan next month. And apparently my body doesn't like...
  21. E-coffee accomplished! Hope the end result wasn't to feel spring-time fresh. Don't feel anywhere near that. A lot lighter tho. Is it normal to have some cramping after? Also feel a little light-headed. Just wondering if maybe I did something wrong? Lay on my right side for as long as I could (about 8 minutes). Oh, btw.... my gallbladder...
  22. Sorry about your throat bug. All of that at one time! Ack! I've been really strict so far, probably more than I need to be. Never realized just how much of my diet was carb-based, even if it was fairly natural. My doc wanted me to cut out all carb sources, but she said things like mustard and mushrooms were ok. Hrmm.... So, of course, I...
  23. Hi Susie At least its nice to know I'm not the only one who's had this. And it looks like today is going to be like yesterday. Will probably do ecoffee this afternoon and see if that helps. How long have you been on the diet?
  24. I can't believe I'm saying this..... I'm going to be trying ecoffee today. Will let you know how it turns out.
  25. Moldlady, Thanks! All I could find when I looked was "cultured" but couldn't find out with what. If you don't mind, I have another question. Sorry if it's TMI. Yesterday was Day 4 of being on the candida diet. It was also the day my body decided to "flush" itself.... literally. I couldn't go an hour without having to run to the bathroom...
