  1. Does anyone else get twitching in their gut? Like little spasms?
  2. Where can I find some good information about gluten opioids?
  3. gotta love those opioid peptides Interestingly, while I've always had symptoms of gluten intolerance, my overall condition became much worse when I developed a taste for beer a couple years ago. (I blame Guinness... before I tried Guinness, I couldn't choke down an entire beer even if I tried. I liked Guinness right away though, and after that began...
  4. The problem is that if I take him to the doctor, I have to talk to his dad about it first, and we'll end up splitting the cost (he has insurance but there's a high deductable). If I go through entrolab, I can have him tested without talking to his dad about it first, and then present him with the results and if he wants to have Travis go through blood testing...
  5. Well, if your fingers/toes get cold and white, then cold and blue, then warm and red (and sort of stingy or burning feeling), you have raynaud's. I was diagnosed with it a few years ago. It improved when I quit smoking shortly after, but I still experience it. The creepy thing is that it's unilateral... it happens to one foot or the other (and while...
  6. any relation?
  7. I have a 7 (almost 8) year old, and his dad (who I'm no longer with) will be very reluctant to have our son see a specialist and have tests done because he thinks I'm always trying to say that something is wrong with our son (something is wrong with our son) and he doesn't want to pay any more medical bills than he has to. I'm thinking of bypassing him...
  8. Oh trust me, I know alllllllllllll about adderall (an amphetamine cocktail) as well as it's side effects... I've done a lot of reading about it during the past almost four years (that's how long I've been on it). I'm on "the right" dosage now, but for a little while I was taking too much and there were some serious side effects that resulted. Overall...
  9. I'm sure the adderall doesn't help either. I'm looking forward to not taking it anymore, though I must say that the time I spent on a gluten free diet was actually easier than eating had been before then. Appetite was a little better, and, more importantly, it wasn't so stressful to decide what to eat.
  10. Actually, come to think of it, I also had a pretty big bowl of cottage cheese with peaches. I shouldn't be feeling this way based only on the amount of food I've had today. I wonder if eating gluten yesterday caused this?
  11. And I can't take my xanax because it's generic and has gluten in it!!!
  12. I think I messed it up. I picked yesterday for my trial day. Yesterday I had some minor digestive issues and some sleepiness after breakfast, then I was okay (except for craving foods with gluten in them?). Today I was feeling quite horrible, and then I realized that it was 3:00 pm and all I'd had to eat today was an apple and some yogurt. Now I've got that...
  13. Are people with Celiac Disease who are eating gluten prone to these things?
  14. How long does it take for your symptoms to appear if you eat something with gluten in it?
  15. hmmm... Open Original Shared Link
  16. So... I haven't eaten gluten for 6 days now, and I'm still feeling sleepy after meals. Is this to be expected in the beginning? Perhaps because the digestive tract hasn't had a chance to repair itself?
  17. Are they dominant or recessive?
  18. I've read different things, and I'm curious about the incidence of Celiac Disease and gluten intolerance in the US. Which statistics are the most likely to be accurate?
  19. You could still have Celiac Disease, and it sounds like you are gluten intolerant. Try an elimination diet. There's lists of stuff with and without gluten available online, and taking L-Glutamine is (according to what I've read) good for keeping cravings at bay while you're adjusting. I'm also a fan of DLPA. Cut gluten out of your diet and see how you...
  20. I had thought the difference between gluten intolrance and Celiac Disease was that gluten intolerance is a negative reaction (don't know why) and Celiac Disease is an autoimmune disorder. I can certainly see how they could be one in the same. It makes me want to see a doctor even less. (Theoretically there could be other stuff wrong though, stuff a doctor...
  21. Okay, thanks. I just wasn't sure because of stuff like "natural flavor".
  22. All of my yoplait yogurt says "gluten free" on the label except the cherry orchard kind. Is there a reason for this? Does this flavor contain gluten or is it just an oversight? (I don't see anything in the ingerdients that contains gluten, at least not anything that I know of.)
