  1. I am the infant specialist in my program, and so- in addition to feeding my little one have heard lots of comments about this... Earth's best was the only gluten free rice cereal anyone could find until recently when Happy Bellies just started production... my son (although 21 months) loves this mixed in his foods, it is a brown rice cereal with probiotics...
  2. We just tried the gluten-free dreams chocolate cake, and it was great, but the frosting was the best part! They don't come together, both come in boxes, and we loved it! (even my brother who won't touch gluten free food loved it, said it was good, then discovered it was gluten free)
  3. Hi- I didn't finish reading everyone's responses, but I do want to add mine quick. I saw someone mention Flishmans (sp) it's the unsalted margarine that is dairy free, and tastes just the same as regular in our opinion. Also, my kids like soy, and rice yougrt, there is a good dairy free cream cheese (I think tofutti makes it), and sour cream, you'd have...
  4. Does anyone have a good egg, milk and gluten free bread maker recipe?? I haven't gotten a bread maker yet, but want to, however, I would be really dissappointed if I couldn't find a recipe to use... also, any bread maker suggestions?? Thanks.
  5. So, here is the really nice news, the children's pastor at our church wants to make sure my child is totally safe, and wants to remove all gluten containing products from his classroom, SO nice of him!! I need help though coming up with ideas for the group... he's asked for suggestions from me. They are little... 1-2 year old kids, and right now they have...
  6. What is celiac sensitive, vs. celiac, or gluten intollerence, is it the same or different? My doctor called and said she thinks my son is celiac sensitive, and the endoscopy will be a good indication of what is going on... I just don't understand this term, as I haven't heard it before. Had she not said it 3 times I would have thought it just came out wrong...
  7. I subsequently spoke to the restaurant manager who appologised and conceded it may have been possible that I had been given the regular soy sauce not the gluten free kind. Wouldn't the soy sauce have caused you a problem anyways since you are allergic to soy??
  8. I also forgot to say, that if you can't find your favorite brand just by browsing, if you type it into the search it may come up... there seem to be a lot more gluten free options there than it may very first appear. You can also search gluten-free, but for example, my son discovered today Ian's button cookies, they don't appear under gluten-free, but they...
  9. oh. Thanks for explaining that. It was just from amazon, I had no idea you could order things from there like that. You can order as many, or as few things as you want on whatever kind of reoccuring basis (and you don't have to have it re-occuring either)
  10. Hm... I had no idea that by writing in a web site it would say "lame advertisement" sorry. I really was excited!
  11. Good luck to you. I understand how hard this is, it is what we are doing right now!
  12. I was looking today for a way to order clif kid fruit twists, my son really liked them, and I was hoping to find them cheaper than in the store, anyways, I discovered that you can buy things on Lame Advertisement, which I hadn't known. They have lots of grocery items, including gluten free, and organic, etc. they come in larger quantities, and if you want...
  13. Another trick that helps with lunches is the laptop lunchbox.. Open Original Shared Link. I don't know what I would do without this thing! My daughter will eat rice cold, so I'll just put some rice in and send some chopsticks along!
  14. Hi- I'm new here. I've been reading for awhile, and asked one question, but need more advice now. Here is our story... I have a 20 month old son. He's had some various issues we've worked at discovering, including asthma, skin conditions, an intollerence to milk and an egg allergy, as well as some unidentified environmental allergies, but it seemed...
  15. I have read that breastfeeding is protective against celiac... but what about when they already have it? Is it safe for me to eat gluten containing foods or not?
