    The only one that comes up in that search engine thing is Outback Steakhouse. We are going there for the weekend and need a place to eat. We might just end up at Outback again...but wanted to know if anyone knows of any other places we could try around the Madison area. Thanks.

    LOL..thanks. Now I know the bread wasn't such a disaster. I'll remember that tip about the eggs and warm water...doh..I didn't even think about that. ...and warming in the oven...I did think of that but I had the oven preheating..LOL Hopefully I get the hang of this soon.

In fact my oldest had her appendix out 3 yrs ago and the dr. said the cells that surrounded her appendix were consistant with those who have Celiac disease.     My dh recently has started a gluten free diet and is feeling great. I have printed off lists of allowable foods and see there are things such as detergent, makeup, deoderant, shampoos that are gluten free. I told my dh he should avoid these as well and he looked at me like I had a third eye..LOL. He said how can gluten put onto my skin effect my intestines...

    Thanks for the info. He's only been gluten free since Monday... and because he feels so good he does not want to go back to gluten. I mentioned that to him the other day...to continue his old food choices and his response was "no way am I going back to feeling awful". He's been antacid free since going gluten free...he has no indigestion, no cramping...

    Yeah that is true. I guess sometimes you just want to have some "evidence" that there really is something going on. So they can't tell you if you have celiac but would the panel give you an idea of the likelyhood it's celiac vs just an intolerance? Is a biopsy the only way to absolutely say it's celiac or not. If it's just an intolerance....can people...

    My dh is possible gluten intolerance and also my two girls. We've all recently just this week come to this realization after doing lots of reading on celiac and gluten intolerance. Once he read about celiac he went gluten free that day (this time...I've mentioned it years ago LOL..something clicked this time). Anyway, he's feeling so much better already...

    Yes, I have read about the connection between joint pain, ADD and celiac. I would loooove for her not have to be on medication. If changing her diet helps her...I'd be spreading the word to everyone! Question....my dh says he doesn't want the kids to go gluten free unless they are tested.     Thanks for you input!! I just emailed him and informed him of your remarks about negative blood tests if you have been on a gluten free diet for sometime. I suggested he eat like he normally did prior to Monday...and he emailed back saying "no thanks...I'd rather feel good." So he's definitely seeing an improvement in how he feels overall with just a few...

    Would he still possibly test negative if he goes say a week with gluten free foods after being gluten free for some time? Would it be best for him to eat the diet he is used to and then go to the dr? Would a dr. listen to him and allow him to get a blood test for celiac right away? I would hope they would.
