I also have new dishwasher safe potholders if yours are cloth from your pre-celiac era they could be the culprit.   5. effects of celiac on body are due to nutitional deficiencies I beleive. I suffer great muscle fatige, bone and joint pain to the extent of barely being able to walk.   7. hang in there kid time will help heal also epsom salt baths, jason's skin andbath products sold at wegmans are great for your sensitive skin. buy new toaster, one new fry pan with spatula, new dishwasher safe pot holder and label everyting gluten-free in kitchen with colored stickers, 8 months gluten-free and still get occasional symptoms
  8. Short reply, I also find removing all foods with artificial colors, additives, preservatives, etc.... seem to help. mostly pain free after 6 mo's on gluten-free diet .

    I like the suggestion to go at quiet time and speak with staff. I have gone as far as telling waitress that if my instructions for food prep are not followed, I immediately experience projectile vomiting!!! This seems to keep staff on their toes!!! LOL

  11. I have yet to find bagels that are gluten-free and taste good. It seems like too much trouble to bake my own so I put cream cheese on toasted bread crust instead. My not so sensitive sister brought me bagels from Chicago (not Gluten Free!!) when she visited NY over the holidays. I absolutly love bagels and could have screamed when I not only could not eat...

  13. Have been gluten-free for only 6months. I find that nausea and bowel trouble are minimized by fasting for a day after being "glutened" and I naver eat out " have been become quite the gourmet cook as a result lol "as I am very sensitive and suffer with muscle fatigue, bone and joint pain and DH all of which I find to be more debilitating than associated stomach...
  14. I add small amount of nut meal to all of my gluten-free baked goods also cream cheese or sour cream to add moiture hope this helps
