  1. I AGREE!!!
  2. Laurie, Hi neighbor. Great news on your recovery!!! My appt did not go well as expected... Dr said lyme was a possible DX but unlikely as there is no lyme disease in the area and would be more likely if I lived in Jersey. She is sending me to Rheumatologist at Strong and says they can check for Lyme with blood test. She is either clueless or not prepared...
  3. After reading more on this topic I am taking your advice and have appt with PCP tomarrow. Hope she is progressive enouh to consider the possibility of Lyme! will post her reaction to my concerns. Thanks again Carla!!
  4. I live on keuka lake very close to Victor. I was wondering how big Lyme was around here and thought of contacting local public health. how can LLMD determine possibility of Lyme that long ago? I got this weird rash raised bumps very itchy at about thirteen years of age. It is a reaccuring rash that was dxed as shingles a few yrs ago. I have assumed it...
  5. After reading this thread and thinking I must be crazy with so many seemingly unrelated symptoms I am considering the possibility of Lyme disease. Have been gluten-free for 8 months now and diarhea has cleared up but joint/muscle pain continue to the point of not being able to walk at times. I have a very progressive primary care physician who accepted...
  6. I am also attending a wedding this summer and like the suggestion of calling chef ahead. Was suprised today when visiting the college that my son will be attending in August. The cafeteria had gluten-free bread and salad dressing in addition to being able to accomodate me for dinners when family is invited as long as I call ahead. The manager took time...
  7. I routinely use gluten-free lasana noodles as they can be layered with almost anything in small containers then froze for quick microwave meal whenever I want. Often in middle of week I cook noodles then pull leftovers out of frig and start creating interesting and quick gluten-free microwave lunches. I keep wegmans gluten-free sauces in cuboard for these...
  8. When you read a food label, you so often see the term
  9. I still find the prices of gluten-free mixes to be too high and are hard to afford the luxury items such as brownie and cookie mixes so I still make my own gluten-free from scratch. Maybe someday the prices will come down or at least coupons will become as available as the mainstream products
  10. I am curious as to what else you use the Nearly normal flour mix for?
  11. I can't wait to try your improved recipe. I have corn flour in my gluten-free cuboard and never find use for it. It sounds lke this is my chance! Will try some today and post results and family reactions. Thanks
  12. Kristi has an edge from her skating experience that I think is not really fair for the rest of the stars. If not for a chance to watch her HOT dance partner I would be happy to see her go. Does anyone know if Priscilla has had cosmetic surgery? She looks so much like a wax figure but is very graceful!! I also LOVE Marlee!! glad for this thread as I am...
  13. recipezaar has an awesome gluten-free choc chip cookie recipe that my cookie loving fiance is crazy about ( he does not need to eat gluten-free but does for my sake ) I have been thinking about buying Tom Sawyer gluten-free flour mix as it is supposed to exchange cup for cup with wheat flour and I hope will work for Toll House cookie recipe as the recipezaar...

I also am drinking gallons of WATER, am also get awful burping and almost threw up yesterday after dose. will be sure to wait longer than the recommended half hour before meal and hope it helps. also taking probitics...
  15. I feel so bad for your situation. I think some carbs may be in order for the lack of energy. I realize you may be opposed to this but I have a family member using small amounts of marijuana for chemo therapy related nausea etc... and she finds it to be very helpful. I have not gotten so ill from cc that I know of but also found reaction to kissing fiance...
  16. I think it is more important to know that your villi are repairing on gluten-free diet so why not check villi status on gluten-free diet as indication that you are healing? Also if you have skin reactions and Dr needs a positive dx skin biopsy of your current rash can make determination without having to subject your body to repeated gluten exposure. The...
  17. First,my gastroenteroligist tells me that endoscopy can not detect celiacs and that biopsy test must be done in small intestine not stomach. I don't know what your Dr. did for test but you may want to check other dx methods for celiac. Do not rely on testing to tell you that you need to go on gluten-free diet, listen to your body and what makes you feel...
  18. Am also having problems with weak and painful legs. just got blood test for myasthenia gravis another autoimmune disease that effects muscles. Also am avoiding all additives in food and even if it does not help I feel that it must be healthier all around to avoid these unnatural ingredients in food. I also find that sublingual B12 make me feel much stronger...
  19. I am curious if you have tried probiotics to eliminate bad bacteria from your gut. I have just started and notice foul BM in the morning and hope this means that the probiotics are working!
  20. I lost 10 lbs after going on gluten-free diet. I never drink cola products as they all seem to have carmel color in them and I thought that carmel color was a derivative of barley. I could be wrong and am curious if anyone knows if cola is ok for celiacs. am also still fighting the celiac bloat. hope to get rid of belly before summer so any suggestions...
  21. Tell me more about salicylates and there effects on you that cause such extreme aches. I also have extreme aches and pains in muscles, bones, and joints which reduced when first on gluten-free diet but have returned. Could it be salicylates?
  22. OOPS letter g not always working on laptop guess I better proofread better before posting. I had not yet been on gluten-free diet when I tried Dr Natura.
  23. Before discovering I have celiacs I thought bloated belly might be from parasites so I tried the Colonix kit from Dr natura and felt much flatter belly after and had more regular BMs after but was not yet on F at time so resulots did not last. Also tried Humaworm but did not have as good of results. think I will try Colonix again now that I am gluten-free...
  24. I also was asked if pregnant with large round hard belly. gluten-free diet helps and also have begun probiotics before bed and am finding BM is nasty in the AM and assume that belly is full of bacteria from undigested food pre-gluten-free diet. Am still bloated but it is improving and hope the probiotics continue to help. gluten-free for 8 months and coping
