Hi, I am now 2 years gluten and dairy free and I can totally relate to your story. It did improve slowly, but I was still struggling with morning anxiety. My doctor recommended something called the Alpha-Stim SCS. In two weeks I feel better than I have in years. I really believe gluten was the cause of my original anxiety and panic and I think the combination...

pinkdljj replied to chantaspell's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I had terrible anxiety to the point of contemplating suicide. I finally found out what was wrong....gluten and casein intollerance. After two years of gluten and casein free, I am finally off Celexa and never feel anxious. It truly is a miracle. After suffering for 8 years of my life being told it was in my head and spending $1000's on doctors, I found... -

pinkdljj replied to Michiganlady's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Hi, this might not be exactly the same thing but I was able to wean off of Celexa (antidepressant) since going gluten free. I had terrible anxiety and depression and once I found out it was the gluten and casein, I am almost 100% better. It did take almost two years to reach this point....and so worth it. One more drug to get off and then I will be prescription... -
Hi, I take lomotil twice a day. I've been gluten and dairy free for one year now and I still have problems with nerve damage in the intestine. Lomotil is an RX and my GI doc says it is very safe. If I get gluttened I have to up the dosage for about one week. It has been a lifesaver for me. I suffer from anxiety from the spasms and it relieves them. ...

Hi Karen, I'm so glad you found out what really going on with your body. It can be a confusing and long journey. I live in the area and have two celiac children, girls, and then myself. I would love to have some of your books and other things. I would even be willing to pay something for them. I was diagnosed 8 months ago and then tested my two girls...

Yes, this forum has been such a blessing to me! I was diagnosed 8 months ago and I know I have suffered all my life, just didn't know it. As a child I had severe mood swings, pitted teeth, insomnia. As a teenager I had anorexia, mood disorders, ammenorrhea, skin problems. As an adult it finally hit my gut and have had terrible anxiety, depression, migraines...

Hi, I used to take RevitalX every day. I got out of habit and slowly started going down hill again. I am intolerant to gluten and casien. I was recently glutened and had horrible stomach problems and all my anxiety came back. I stopped eating and basically lived on RevitalX for one week and now feel better than ever. Now I'm slowly introducing foods...

ARCHIVED Anyone With Undiagnosed Celiac Disease Take Pain Pills To Get Rid Of Symptoms?
pinkdljj replied to pinkdljj's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Hi, Wow, your story is amazingly similar. I had horrible pregnancies too, bad morning sickness. I used vicodin too when things got bad and it was only to "settle" my stomach. It was always nervous, sick or just not right. Do the memories of what you went through ever haunt you? I can't stand going to the doctors. The thought of ever having to be... -
ARCHIVED Anyone With Undiagnosed Celiac Disease Take Pain Pills To Get Rid Of Symptoms?
pinkdljj replied to pinkdljj's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
The shoulder pain was one of the first symptoms I had. It then spread to my head, stomach and restless leg syndrome. Maybe you have an interolance to gluten and/or casein but don't have celiac disease. I have been on Lexapro and feel so much better now that I am off everthing. It took my brain about a year to finally get used to no Lexapro, after being... -

ARCHIVED Anyone With Undiagnosed Celiac Disease Take Pain Pills To Get Rid Of Symptoms?
pinkdljj posted a topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I was recently diagnosed with celiac disease. Dairy and gluten were both making me ill for over 10 years. I had very strange symptoms that no doctor could understand. Migraines, pain in shoulder, severe IBS, intestinal flushing feeling, tingling, anxiety, depression, insomnia, brain fog, and the list goes on.... Anyway, I was given codeine after my first... -

Thanks everyone for the advice. It's sometimes hard to do the right thing when there are no outward symptoms, but I know that keeping her gluten free is the very best for her. I didn't have symptoms until I was really sick. If I can prevent that from happening to her than it is my responsibility as her mom. -

My daughter, Julia, had diarrhea when she was 14 months old for 7 weeks. I finally figured out it was the gluten. I have celiac disease myself and it took me 10 years to finally diagnose it after being sick for way too long. Once I stopped her gluten and had enterolab test her stools, her diarrhea stopped. Her enterolab tests revealed she has antibodies... -
ARCHIVED Is Anyone Still Having Problems With Mrs. Mays?
pinkdljj posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I've been gluten free now for 7 months and feel terrific except when I eat Mrs. Mays Naturals Nut mixes. I know there have been some questions about the rice malt in it. I contacted them and was told that they make their own rice malt and it does not contain gluten. However, I still don't feel well when I eat them. Gassy, anxiety back, bloated, etc..... -

pinkdljj replied to Aleshia's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Hi, I just read your post. I can relate with the whole doctor thing. I'd been to 9 doctors until I finally decided to go a different route. Thank God I did. There is a clinic in Renton called the www.Tahomaclinic.com. Dr. Wright is the founder. He is on the board at Bastyr, teaches at Bastyr and a well-known Naturopath Doc around the country. I... -
ARCHIVED I Need Help With My 17 Month Old Dd And Diarrhea!
pinkdljj replied to pinkdljj's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Thanks for the encouragment. Believe me, she gets lots of hugs Yes, most doctors are ignorant to this disease. Her ped told me she didn't look like a classic celiac child because she has chubby thighs. I told her if her diarrhea last for many months she will look like a "celiac" child and then maybe you'll believe me. Oh well. Thanks again, Leslie -

pinkdljj replied to pinkdljj's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Thanks. Her casein antibodies were normal through enterolab. I'm thinking it must be the soy. I rotate milks for her between almond, rice and soy. I will get rid of the soy first. Today she has had no diarrhea. So far so good. Leslie -
ARCHIVED I Need Help With My 17 Month Old Dd And Diarrhea!
pinkdljj posted a topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
My little girl has diarrhea almost everyday and has had for 3 months. I had her tested at the doctors office for celiac. I have it. Anyway, the tests all came back negative for everything. I then had her stool tested through enterolab and it came back with elevated antibodies for gluten. Also, she carries both sets of celiac genes. So I have taken her... -
ARCHIVED How Young Can You Test?
pinkdljj replied to angie315's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
My insurance company did not cover any of it. It was almost $400 to test her. It was worth it though. Now I know for sure she is a gene carrier and her body is not tolerating gluten, something her doctor couldn't diagnose. -
ARCHIVED How Young Can You Test?
pinkdljj replied to angie315's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Hi, I had my 15 month old tested via her pediatrician after 4 weeks of diarrhea. Everything came back normal. I refused to believe it so I had her tested through Enterolab. Her antibodies for gluten are already way above normal and she has two sets of celiac genes. I took her off wheat asap and her diarrhea disappeared. I have either celiac or gluten... -
ARCHIVED Anyone With Experience With Enterolab And A Toddler?
pinkdljj posted a topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Hi, I was diagnosed 3 months ago with gluten and casein intolerance. I have improved greatly with the diet. Thank God!! One month ago my 17 month old daughter came down with diarrhea. For one whole month I dealt with doctors and blood tests and found nothing. I decided on my own to stop gluten for a week. No diarrhea! Then I gave her a Starbucks butterhorn... -
Hi, Wow, your story sounds very familiar to mine. I have dealt with anxiety, panic, strange headaches, and intestinal problems for the last 7 years. I think my intolerance to gluten started at this time because all of the sudden I started feeling very different and couldn't quite pinpoint it. They say something will trigger celiac or intolerance to...

ARCHIVED Eat Right For Your Blood Type?
pinkdljj replied to holdthegluten's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Hi, Yes, I am very familiar with this diet. I am "O" blood and am also gluten sensitive and casein sensitive so the diet makes since to me. But, I was speaking with my naturopath who has done a lot of work with this sort of thing and has come to find out that the blood type diet only holds true to the "O" blood individuals. Interesting. I know he ...
