  1. Hi Mini-Mom! I'm hoping it's not DH, too. Does it burn and itch terribly without relief? Has she had a glutening, or eaten iodized anything? Ibuprofen used to set mine off, too. If you don't want the expense of biopsy, just wait it out and be very careful of what she eats. Cut out iodized salt (there are kosher salts and sea salts to replace it), and...
  2. Aw Pah-tay!! Anyone who has been loved by a pet knows how hard it is to say goodby! The decision that you had to make is probably the hardest decision ever made by anyone. You will have him with you as part of you as long as you live. You will look for him, expecting to see him there and then remember.....and it will feel so empty and hard. Just remember...
  3. Ugh! Yaaawwwnnn. Mmmmble grrrrmmmmmble innnggg! I already bin up fer a couple of hours, on my day off!!! WIH??? Mmmmmblle!
  4. Hi Gobbie! I'm sorry to hear that you are having such a difficult time here. The only "devices" I know of are psychological ones. Information is a good tool. Hating to be sick is a good tool. I taught myself to consider gluten to be equivilent to rat poison....which for us it is. I've done the same for chemical soups that manufacturers pass off as...
  5. quote name='psawyer' date='May 12 2009, 01:49 PM' post='532749'] Good afternoon, sillies! Open Original Shared Link It is in today's print edition. Open Original Shared Link Not much happening around here today.
  6. Have you tried frozen yogurt or custard? Maybe that'll sit a bit better. That's all we buy anymore. I've lost my taste for Ice cream....seems too heavy and I think it's one of the things that bothers me.
  7. Oh, Psuess!! I would trade in a minute! We have been *cold* with 60's days and 50 at night for the last couple of days. Back to the 70's hopefully for the next couple. Some of my family are going to be visiting here for a few days.....you're more than welcome to join us...the more the merrier. BUTT, I have to warn you we are all *tee-total-ers*. Butt...
  8. Hi Aimeez! You're certainly not the first to be totally sandbagged by this sort of diagnosis. I got mine on a "post card" in the mail from my gastro. I had never heard the word before "Celiac"? What IS that? After the initial shock I went directly to the web....then to the bookstore. Later I learned that my doc was looking for cancer! In light of...

I have tons of email to open....but first I have to peek in to see...
  10. Hi Samantha! You're absolutely not alone with feeling let down and disappointed by a doctor! There is just so much information out there, and still so much not really known, they can't keep on top of it all. Your doc still wants to look for answers, so that's a plus for him. He cares. That said....I feel that you are on the right trac. Ultimately...
  11. Psuessle! I think I found your Printz! There is this absolutley beautiphul Phrog in my pond!!!!! I think it's a bullfrog! Bev-really...so nice to read you. Hope your doing all right. Not a lot to add, here. Too poopy-cowed-itis. Hope you're all having a great weekend!

  13. I agree!!!! Please share! I've tried at least a dozen recipes. Some of them had a great taste, but all are dense, and after the first day are dry. Thanks in advance.
  14. Curly Leeeesah! So glad things are going along on a smoother road. You have had soooo much to deal with! I keep you all in prayer for health, healing and peace. Try not to worry about the money part. It'll work out. Psuess.....you maybe oughttta seek out a professional hair person.....or apply for disaster relief! Or invest in some sort of summery...
  15. Is it me, or does this guys hair look kinda green? Seems to me Psuessley is already there!!!
  16. I've had health problems all of my life. 2 years ago I fell apart. My doctor was looking for cancer! I truly thought I was dying. When I was scheduled for colonoscopy, it was decided last minute to do an endoscopy at the same time. Thank God! Finally I had a diagnosis, which I had never heard of, and a new road to travel. While I am doing so much...
  17. Hey Juude! I just figgered you was yelling at us!!! Is your computer reacting to some emotional turmoil? Huhhh??
  18. Ouch Psuessley! And how do those red road maps on yer skin look with yer new hair? Hope your not huring too bad! Mam and Pap . And if there are no V/communications you can send a Mam-o-gram! Mimm-e-o....you're not the only clod in the bunch by any over-reach stretch! I think I can fall trip over painted lines! We claim that the Klutz gene...
  19. You all are fortunate to have bosses with which to have conversations, especially humorous ones. I discovered from the start of this job that you can't tell the "bossy" anything. It gets discussed with everyone else. BUTT!!! If you're having a good mental day you CAN have phun with such people
  20. I rather suspect that the penile monologues would sound rather primitive. I don't believe they've progressed beyond monosylibic narcissistic grunts. But then again, they may surprise us like the gorillas did. Lets teach them sign language and see what they come up with!
  21. PPS....Psuess.....you are no longer a child growing up in that dysphunctional setting. You have come waaaayyy beyond that! Let it go, move on, love the life you've been given and make it your own! BIIIGGG HUUUGGG!
  22. Psuess....I have to admit it takes practice! EVERY family is disfunctional (unless you are already beyond this world). I used to be a real mouse, trying to please everyone and turn myself inside out in the effort. (Have you ever seen an inside-out mouse? Not a pretty site!) I got tired of being a doormat for every phool who had radar for people like...
  23. Hey Bunnyrabbitt! I was on steroids just once. Doc thought it would help tendonitis (I was having problems with lots of inflammation in lots of places ) I had a severe allergic reaction and thought I was literally going to die! Probably wasn't smart, but I stopped cold and tossed them all. They are so nasty, I would tell anyone to be cautious, and...
  24. Hey all! Nother gllooommy day...but at least the rain has stopped for a couple of few hours. Psuess....in order to age gracefully (at least without screaming and tearing out the hair) is to look for the advantages. There are many! While I have never been "beautiful", I realize at this time in my life that I never will be, and don't have to be concerned...
  25. Those families have my prayers. It's so hard to understand these events at all. Are our children so full of despair, hopelessness and anger that tempts them to do these things? My prayers always are for peace...for individuals, for countries, for the world over. My heart goes out to them.
