  1. Pieter, I'm glad some one is having nice weather. We are currently paying for the good weather we had.....it's been days of gloomy (Earl) grey and rain.....and looks like days of rain to come. Poo!!! The weeds are gleefully over-running everything (I can hear them laughing, can you?) while the "good plants" are complaining of cold, wet feet! I've been...
  2. There are several active groups in the area...possibly Albany. My advice would be to contact them for the latest info. There is a page here that lists groups where you can get contact info.
  3. I wouldn't be surprised if one day "they" decide that many of these things are linked, and if some of them may actually be manifestations of the same thing. I would not be surprised to hear that a great many maladies stem from all of the "stuff" we pump into the air, ground, food etc. We are no better than geese who poop where we eat....so to speak.
  4. Psuessly...your hair is what it is.....it'll grow. Amorphous and ever changing. Thank Gahhh for that! I had a math teacher who used to like telling that my brain was a sieve (wasn't you, was it?.....no, can't be....she was ancient way back then). Didn't help me to understand it all any better! Em up to her elbows in poo-puddle! Oscar and LL...
  5. Goo Soggy Mornin eVerbOdy!! 'Tis kleerly a case of paranormal elektrik fenomena!!! I used to have a thing with street lights. When I drove by, walked by, went anywhere near them....with alarming regularity they would blink out. Happened so often I had to wonder......but what did it mean? Can't say if it still would...
  6. Hi there! If it was DH, and you were still ingesting gluten, then it could have stayed and caused problems over such a long period of time. Once you are gluten free the problems with DH do go away. For me it was many months, but I'm happy to say that I no longer have those problems. I did have to cut out iodized salt and ibuprofen, because these would...
  7. Hi all. Phinally caught up again. I just can't leave you all to your own devices for so long....I spend all my site time playing catch up. Spring birdies have been arriving. We have Rufus sided Towhees, Baltimore Orioles (1 pair that we know of), RedHeaded Woodpeckers (4 of them), Indigo Buntings, lots of Warblers passing through, I'm hearing a Thrush...

    ARCHIVED Melatonin

I think it's like anything else....the manufacturer is covering their butt. IF you happened to have a problem, and IF you claimed it was from their product, they have a loop hole. Kinda like the warnings on packaging that tells you not to put plastic bags over your head
  9. Personally I like to use Stevia. My husband was getting terrible migrains again, and we couldn't figure out the trigger. It was Splenda! I've since read that others suffer adverse affects from sweeteners. I do agree it is a personal choice as to whether you feel safe using any of these things. Most people have no problems with them.
  10. Bev-really....sounds like you are preparing for a dang-good time!!! Hope you have tons of fun, take all you can get. I've read Flash Forward and Really, reAlly enjoyed it! Next trip to the liBrary, I'm going to look for another. Right now I am reading Koontz' Odd Hours. It's the fourth book about Odd Thomas. So far not nearly as good as the last...
  11. I've always loved Barrys sense of humor too! Thanks for posting this Dave When I had my proceedure I was already in serious trouble with The Big D and nausea! I don't think I got over the Movie Prep for a looooonnnnggg time. I STILL can't abide the very thought of ginger-ale, which I used to mix with. I've never had anything so disgusting. BUTT (heh...

    ARCHIVED Melatonin

I tried this for a while at my doctors recommendation. After reading the label I was wary, but still took it. For me it did nothing, anyway. It helps you for "fall asleep" but wanes in 4 hours. I have no trouble falling asleep.....I just don't STAY asleep. Yes, it is a naturally occuring substance in the body....but a warning is there for a reason. ...
  13. I myself have been know to do the old "presto-chango-magic-make-it-dis-appear-o"!! I firmly believe that this is within my rights with gross/disgusting paraphelia!! Em.....hope it's a wonderful time for yous! Sounds like a good time. Prayers for your Dad, too. Excitement for the day.....redheaded woodpeckers in the yard! They made a pass through...
  14. Mornin all. Wet, rainy, (earl)grey, gloomy day. Hard to adjust to the temperature bouncing around. In the 90's yesterday (mmmmmmm, prrrrrrr), high of 58 today (iiiiiiiick, brrrrrrrr). 15. Heh heh heh.....we must have shopped for our hubbies in the same outlet! We can't use things like this at home....te air fresheners, I mean. We both are scent-sensitive. Would be nice to be able to *wear* a scent once in a while, but we both get sick from it. (sigh) Mornin/evenin/twilightzonetime everyspillibody! Day off today.....tenk...

  18. Good psillie mornin all! We've been having a heat wave here...record highs (not with cloves Psuess! ). Expecting 90's today....yipeeeeee, my favorite kind of weather! My boss hates me because she gets overheated easily, and I don't even break a sweat. (heh heh). Even if I did I wouldn't let her know. Used to sweat, but only in hard labor.....like pitching...
  19. Hi-O Psuess! Been a long time since we've squiggled together. Glad you had a good time. Pity you have to pay for it later Mimm-e-o .... hope your bad day was only one. 20. Psuessle.....*I* like the name Alphie. NOt like Alfred Hitchcock. .... unless kits screams remind you of the Hitchcock movies . Isn't there a song about Alfie? From the 60's? If I can remember (like thats gonna happen!) I'll look it up in my songbooks. Psuessle...when we gather...I'll make you some burgers...on the grill. I'll even bake some sourdough...
  21. I can only tell you about myself, but I have had several periods in my life that I was so fatigued I was "seeing things". Absolutely petrifying to be driving down the road and seeing People, animals, you name it in the road. It's a wonder I didn't cause a major accident. More so at night, but sometimes in the day. I was too tired even to be concerned...
  22. Pah-tay is having a dairy frenzy! Luv it! Sounds a lot like a kid who's been let loose in the candy store. Free-for-allllll! Go for it Pah-tay. Have some ice cream for me, too. Mimmeo....thanks for sharing the poem. Was nice. The name Alfred ALWAYS brings to mind Alfred E. Newman....."what, me worry?" from Mad magazine. Go figger. Nite all....

  24. Hey Leez....so good to see you!!! Bet your Bippy, I think came from Laugh-in. That's where I remember hearing it!!! Rowan and Martin and their cast of crazies.
