    You can still urge family members to get tested because of your response to the diet, and because of the likelyhood that it is there within your family. You also have the option of testing your future children for the same reasons....all without putting yourself through the agony and risk.     Here! Here! Actually, I don't want a funeral at all. I told my son years ago, if he has to hold a memorial service or something, to make it a big, happy party. Spend the burial money to have a good time. I want to be cremated.....in a cheap cardboard box...and bury my ass(h) in a big flower garden!

    Amanda, from what I understand, hospitals are the very worst (or best from the germs perspective) places for exposure to all types of germs, bacteria. I've known too many people who get "other" illnesses in the hospitals than what they went in for! I don't know of any remedy, except for lots of hand washing/use of Purell.     Sorry that I can't give you a definitive answer. I suppose only time and testing will tell for you. Celiac can affect any system of the body. I'm sure your doctor will be looking at Celiac, as well as thyroid, and perhaps your hormone levels. Even your blood levels of vitamins and minerals could come into play here (therefor back to Celiac and malabsorption...

    Park Service is all in a tizzy. Lots of changes in Law Enforcement (which our department falls under), much of which we are not thrilled about, tho' the reasoning is understandable (I guess). We still don't know the extent of the fallout, so we'll see. Much staff cutting going on. Hours are being cut, re-organized, twiddled with . We'll know soon enough...

    I especially liked the idea of doctors who not only have a few clues....but actually KNOW what they are dealing with, how to deal with it, and all of the factors in, around, between! Yay!!! Maybe even a one-stop-doc-shop ( ) for all autoimmune disorders and related issues. Lots of tranquility gardens (complete with napping areas.....hammocks?). Employers...

    Forgot to mention that my neighbors have dogs.....3 of them. They do have a fence around the back yard for the dogs to play, and they have gardens (and birdfeeders.....so lucky to have them for my neighbors!). The deer do jump over their fence and snak on those plants.....even with dog urine and feces about. Apparently that does not deter them either....

    Thanks, Bunny, but I've tried just about everything. Dried blood, check. Moth balls, check. Irish Spring soap, check. Human hair....check. Very expensive Liquid Fence....several times....the smell makes me want to barf, and it lingers a while, but does NOT last for 3 months. The deer just laugh and munch away. I can't afford to spend that kind of money...
