    ARCHIVED Doctor In Albany, Ny

I don't know about doctors in that area, but I do know that there are active support groups in the area. I would suggest that you contact one of them to ask for help and for recomendations for knowledgeable doctors. Surely they would know! Good luck to you.
  3. Hi everybody! Too tired to do much more than that......hi.....will catch up later
  4. Hey, hey, hey. Sounds like lots of you are having nice days. I did the housework thing this morning....how boring . Internet shopping sounds like phun. Maybe I'll do some plant and flower shopping (or at least dreaming...about SPRING!). I make necklaces too. I think I'm overdue for some semiprecious stone shopping! Hope you're all having a grand...
  5. Hi Joan and welcome! Lots of us suffered for years before diagnosis. You'll find in every way that you are not alone. Every Celiac is unique in their experiences, and yet there is very much common with this condition. I'm glad you found the site! There is tons of information to be found here. Keep reading and asking questions. There is always someone...
  6. As far as I know muscle cramps could be a sign of not enough B vitamins. I used to have a really bad problem with this. My husband did, too. He is not Celiac (I am), and his problem went away when I started giving him more B supplements. I've been gluten free about 13 months now. I think that because I'm finally healing enough to be absorbing the nutrients...
  7. Another Black Friday? <shiver of dread face> uuunh! One is bad enough! Think I'll avoid it all, like I do the first one. The stores have been screaming and crying and rending their clothes, sitting in ashes and sackcloth and mourning over lost revenues, horrifying decrease in customers. You would have thought that each and every one was on the verge...
  8. Good mornin all! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Ours was pretty quiet, but had lots of good phone conversations and long distance hugs. Kween Manda....I know just how you feel about the longing to be in your new home. We bought ours a little over a year ago. The PLAN was to thoroughly clean everything first, and then move.....but we got so...

  11. Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village, though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up with snow. My little horse must think it queer To stop without a farmhouse near Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year. He gives...

  14. Hi Jason. You can only influence someone as far as they want to be influenced. I worry about my own mom, as well as the rest of my family. I have suggested testing, and have shared information. That's about as much as I can do. The more you push, the more resistance you may get. That's human nature. You've already made your concerns known. Share what...
  15. No, it's not funny....but.....heeheeehheeehhheeeee Sounds a lot like my own mother. The thought of her behind the wheel petrifies us! She kept insisting last year that she could drive here to visit (about 9 hours), but me sister convinced her to wait till after the cataract surgery Can't help but wonder which car part is due to disappear this...

Kween Manda.....you must not let bossy cow get to you! You must come to your senses and realize that a bully needs pity, needs psycho-logical help. Her behavior makes...
  18. Welcome aboard! You'll find you have ups and downs, I'm sure, and that you will make mistakes. We all do. It's a learning process, and a change of a lot of habits. Hopefully you'll heal quickly and feel better soon. Have patience if you don't. There is a ton of info to be had, it helps to find the time to read, read, read. Helped me a lot! Good...
  19. Peeaterr....love the image of kitty going to the door over and over. Mine used to do the same. You open the door, they look out, look up at you with pathetic confusion. Go to another door, repeat the process. I used to say that my Ivan was waiting for me to open the door to summer. He couldn't understand why I insisted on opening doors to winter...brrrr...

  21. Good morning everyone!!!! All of your stories of snaux make me appreciate where I am all the more. Until 2 years ago we lived in the Adirondacks in Upstate NY. They are having lots of nassssty snaux and cold weather, too! Most of my family is still there, so I get reports. Don't miss it atall, nope. Broozes are being ignored as much as possible...
  22. Merry Christmas to you, too David! Hopefully we all will have a healthy, safe, feeling wonderful kind of new year!
  23. Hi everybody! I am here, afterall. No, you didn't ditch me. Had a hurk of a day today. It actually got cold enough for the last of the rain to freeze (on the deck and on the grass at least). I decided to walk out to get the paper by way of the back door. I stepped out onto the deck, enjoyed watching the birdies feeding and bathing in the waterfall...
  24. Em, do hope your Dad's ok. Scary when it comes to parents health. Tawwwm....sorry to hear you are having troubles. I can identify and sympathize. I don't sleep well, either. Food is still a major issue....I eat a small lunch, and use the crockpot a lot for dinners. Always make enough for leftovers, often freezing stuff for quick fixes later. I...
