  1. That's just how I pheel most days!!! I saw the moon last night. Was just about phull and verrrry prettie! We are expecting rain today, so I don't expect we'll be able to see it tonight. I DID see some shooting stars a few nights ago (actually about 4a.m.) was rilly kool! I'm choosing to see that as an omen for the coming year. Add that...
  2. Hi all! All of this talk of Kittehs brings back some great memories and fills me with longing <> We have a neighbor who has "several" cats...don't know how many. I think they spend all of their time roaming the neighborhood. One of them has adopted us and the girl next door. I THINK she belongs to the cat lady.....but is always over...
  3. I'm the same way. There are huge chunks of my childhood that are just plain old gone. I also wondered if there was something about it that made me block it all out. It also applies to a great deal of my adult life, just gone. I spent a lot of my life "drifting" if you know what I mean....struggling just to go from day to day without any real goal or plan...
  4. I remember being told as a child that my pains and cramps were "just" growing pains. I think they tell you that when they just don't know! Anyway....if nutritional values are on the low end that could be your answer. The B group is needed. I used to take additonal B vitamins to curtail muscle cramps long before I knew about Celiac. My husband now takes...
  5. I wish I knew what to tell you to help. I know when I had outbreaks, the rashes lasted for weeks before they started to subside, so it's possible that your skin is still reacting to your last glutening. You really do need to be careful with your pets, also. Check the ingrediants in the litter...as well as their food. You may have to wear impermeable gloves...
  6. I have to chime in with this....we often overlook salts (iodized) and anti-inflamatories and the way they affect DH. I had to avoid these things (still do). If I took ibuprofen, I'd have at least 3 weeks of rash. I use Kosher salt.....nothing iodized for the same reason. I also know that over time the threat of rash will go away as long as you remain...
  7. I'm not aware of this. I do know that wax is often used to make some things look shiny and crisp. We wash everything that we eat that is "fresh" from the market. We also buy as much as we can from local farmers markets, so we know what isn't in our foods. Maybe we need to google this.
  8. What kinds of things does she like to eat? What are you trying to replace? It would be easier to make suggestions with a little more information. Hope we can help...thanks.
  9. Hey Patti...Judy, too......sorry you are feeling a bit out of it all. You'll find your psilly.....probably wherever it was that you had it last. Then again....it's one of those things that moves about by itself when you misplace it, but I don't think that psillies can travel very far on their own power...can they? Geez....I hope not, anyway.
  10. QUOTE (DingoGirl @ Jan 9 2009, 04:45 AM) would it be weird to call my cat Puppy Girl? Nothing wrong with that. I had a cat named Ivan, whom I adored. I got him when he was only 4 weeks old from a shelter. He truly was my puppy cat. Followed me everywhere....helped in the gardens, liked to smell the flowers , rode in the wheelbarrow, loved to...
  11. I also deal with dry eyes, and use drops to relieve it. I agree that you may be dealing with Sjogrens, as this is one of the major symptoms. Since you have one autoimmune disorder to deal with, there is always the chance of other autoimmune disorders present. You can get some info online, but I would also inquire of your physician also. Good luck
  12. Should have mentioned.....your fatigue and stool changes may be from a sinus infection, if that's what it is...or may be from being glutened. If you have no infection, then perhaps all you need is time to heal from being glutened.
  13. Hi! Sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time of it. First of all, I would recommend going to your doc, and have your sinuses checked out. If there is any possibility of an infection, you may need antibiotics to clear it up. An infection can wreak all kinds of havoc in your body, including your heart. You don't want to take chances with that...

  15. Nik Nik, you may have to start mentioning the dreaded ......lawyer word to those pee-poles. If lawyer does not work the first time you may have to mention (ahem)...lawyer There has to be a way to get them moving! It's inhumane to leave people without heat in midwinter. Jak Phrost should NOT be knipping at your nose in your own living room Tawwms...
  16. Hey Lee lee! The job market is a pretty tough place right now...just about everywhere. It's hard to find opportunities as businesses are cutting back. I had two different positions get cut before they were filled...I lost out on both. Anyway, you'll find that most employers don't bother to call back to let you know if you are not being considered. Way...
  17. Hey all! Rain, and more rain here. Just cold enuff to freeze on the trees and shrubs...looks really pretty. Not cold enough to freeze the roads, so that's kool. Has iced up me deck.....wooden but not self-erected . I am not in the least tempted to try going down the ice-covered steps.....oh, no,no,no. Still having troubles from my slinky adventure...

  22. I didn't like the Romper room myself, but my younger sibs did. I hated, hated, hated the Doo Bee song! Always seemed jeering to me. "I always do everything right (<:nose in the air face:>) I never do anything wrong (nyah nyah na nyah nyah) etc, etc What a thing to be teaching kids. I'm perfect and you're not (?) Hope everyone is as well...

  25. So, here we are with perky ears . I think I will also look for this stuff. My hair is still really dry and brittle and breaking off . It used to be so silkee-softee longee, before this terrible last dance with Celiac. Been wearing it very very short (say...did you just call me sir?), so it doesn't look so bad (please tell me it doesn't really look bad...
