  1. I haven't eaten out much, but I hope this helps: I tell the server I have Celiac disease, and could I please talk to the manager or chef about what is safe on the menu for me to eat. ( most managers have some idea about celiac, as do most chefs. Servers usually don't have a clue) I usually have a couple of different ittems on the menu picked out...
  2. My daughter was diagnosed with spastic colon when she was little. The symptoms went away during her teen years, but are now back. I hear that is not uncommon. Of course now we realize that it was probobly celiac all along.
  3. 6. Skippy peanut butter is fine. McCormick seasonings will clearly label any gluten ingredients. This will also be helpful: Open Original Shared Link
  7. Poor Sawah........a walking talking mood ring ( RUN!!!....Mom's turning blue!!! )......and now uncontrollable projectile leakage ( this is not on Edna's itinerary! )......and unwanted Mickey visitations ( a gluten free mouse? ) "Life is not a problem to solve, but a mystery to experience"....I am sure you would like a little less *mysterious experiences...
  8. Whoa.......deja vu I've seen this someplace before.......Was it from the abyss-mally lost pages...... or am I trapped in a space/time continuum?.......Have I stumbled into a Sillyville version of Groundhog Day?...........STOP THE MADNESS!!!!!!!!!! That IPS thingy has thrown off my Feng Shui
  9. Thank you so much for clearing that up, Oracle PeOter!!!
  10. But you are our queen.......you HAVE to know!!!!!!!! .....this is when you should be confounding us with your all-knowing-all-seeing wisdom and/or mystical, majestic BS
  11. My most clever posts were probably on those pages!!!! ........They've fallen into the great abyss.......to live on only in the least foggy-brained of Sillyville citizens So how does this affect our illustrious queen????? This would extend her reign beyond the usually accepted number of pages.........but if noone can see the missing posts........
  12. Perhaps the apple was not the source of her pain. It could have been a delayed reaction to something she had eaten earlier. Taco Bell is definitely a no-no. If she loves them that much, she may not want to admit they are a problem.
  13. Don't be concerned if the joint pain does not go away as quickly as the stomach issues. Some symptoms take months or even longer to show improvement. Glucosamine chondroitin can be helpful, and Aleve..........but I have always tried not to depend on painkillers............only for the worst of days. Welcome to a fellow Hoosier!!
  14. Here is another site that might be helpful..... Open Original Shared Link
  15. These companies will disclose if their products contain gluten ingredients..... Open Original Shared Link You can also google a product or company on this forum to learn what others have found out. If you still don't have an answer, call or e-mail the company. It's often impossible to know for sure if there's gluten in something just by reading...
  16. They have islands at Walmart?..................and they keep socks there????????
  17. ............or for someone to blame their odoUriferous farts on.
  18. Keep digging, Peter.......that hole is getting deeper and deeper..... Would that be the infamous double D?????????
  19. I would suggest keeping a food journal. If her really is, as you suspect, reacting to an upset stomach instead of actual hunger, then he may have another food intolerance. I know that before I went gluten-free, when my stomach was upset, I would want to find something else to eat that would settle my stomach. Eating just about anything would at least temporarily...
  20. Sure thing.........simply eliminate all dairy AND sugar.......you can have rice or pasta maybe twice a month.......pace the floors when you start craving ANYTHING sweet, until you feel like you are going to go stark raving mad...........scream at any and all chocolate/ ice cream/ candy/ dessert commercials...........(refrain from licking the television screen...
  21. TRYING TO POST!!!!! It happened to me again I was up at 7 this morning, typing away, and when I was done, lost the forum, lost my post! Y'all are really missing my me best witticisms! I went to the middle school on Tues. to pack up my stuff.....just a deskful.....and by the time I got back had a heinously sore neck and headache...
  22. The best thing to do would be to start a food journal. I see you also went dairy free, but some people also have problems with soy. For me it was sugar.............including fruit, rice and rice pasta. Others have issues with nightshades. You could also be getting gluten from somewhere you're not aware of.......vitamins, shampoo, toaster, skillet, etc. Do...
  23. That's what I thought!!!!!!!!!!!But then I thought ,"Noooo, surely I'm mistaken!"
  24. I think when you have to tuck them into your belt, they can no longer qualify as a shelf
  25. This is giving me a headache just trying to figure it out Not that it would do me any good. Mine would get lost amongst the towel and all that duct tape!
