    I don't think it's weird at all. Before I finished reading your post, I was thinking that it should be done in private. And do tell her where it came from and why you want her to have it. If it were me, I would be very touched by that gesture...and I'm sure the waterworks would be going full blast!.....but in a good way I think it's an excellent idea!

    Lisa, Thanks for posting an answer to my question in the forum.

    I see you like swing dancing. We learned a little of West Coast, but not a lot. We used to go ballroom dancing once a month. I loved it!

    You haven't been gluten-free very long....could be you have unmasked another food intolerance. Have you eliminated dairy? Many celiacs can't handle dairy until their villi heal. Others have to eliminate soy also. I have had to eliminate dairy and sugar.

    I had one that looked exactly like that on my hand. I couldn't find a similar pic either, so I waited---thought maybe it was eczema. Finally went to the doc......he thought it looked pre-cancerous. Did a biopsy.....it was basal cell carcinoma-----that's not as serious as a lot of other skin cancers. When he did the biopsy he took off the whole thing, so nothing...

    It doesn't have to be super expensive. Stick to a basic meat and veggie diet. The specialty pre-made foods are what hit you in the pocketbook.     I also hate to cook. I am an empty-nester, and I no longer feel like spending time in the kitchen. But celiac has made it necessary, so I look for shortcuts wherever I can.     I mainly stick with chicken, fish, roasts, steak, hamburgers(no bun).I season these with Mc Cormick spice blends or rubs. I also eat lots of veggies, frozen or fresh, and sweet potatoes.     Yes, it's been quite delightful. Pennsylvania usually gets our weather 1 day later. My DS lived in Pittsburgh until just recently. We're supposed to keep this weather for the rest of the week!

    Sooo...what is the difference between standard and linear? Is there any? Or are they just trying to confuse us?     On a similar note.....I once knew a woman who would cry when she went poop...some sort of uncontrollable physical response. I wonder if there's medical term for that. To solve the mystery of the disappearing phrogs, I think I will pose this question to my wildlife biologist son the next time we speak. So...how invasive is this knee surgery?
