  1. What can I take to the party that I can eat? (gluten-free, dairy free, soy free) other than tortilla chips and guac? Thanks Lori
  2. I always coat my baked chicken with crushed pork rinds, I use the Cuissinart to grind them up. Learned this from Atkins Diet. It may sound wierd, but it tastes better to me than other coatings I've tried.
  3. Keep your bread frozen, and toast it straight from the freezer. I put my toaster on it's darkest setting for the occasional bread I use.
  4. What ingredient(s) in Beano has gluten? I read the label on my bottle, and I wouldn't think it does.
  5. do you buy those at the Supermarket? I haven't seen them anywhere I usually shop (i.e. Costco and health food store)
  6. Congrats! I flew to Bangkok and back last spring and Thai Air didn't do as good a job - put gluten items on the tray for example. They served TONS of fruit, and some horrible thing I couldn't even guess at for a main dish one time, but good things other times. Glad to hear you had a good experience!
  7. Milk does not have gluten in it, but you may be intolerant of dairy, so I would give that up while you're trying this diet. I don't usually use any kind of milk, but if I do I use Blue Diamond Almond Milk. They have it at Trader Joes, health food stores, and even my local grocery store! I also don't usually include any bread-ish foods in my diet. My...
  8. My way of getting a handle on my diet is to stick to chicken/turkey, beef, vegetables including potatoes, nuts, eggs, goat cheese and little else. It's a bit like Atkins but including potatoes, and without the heavy fats/dairy. Or like South Beach without the dairy. I'd suggest you read both those diet books for ideas. Generally I have eggs for breakfast...
  9. Your muscle cramps or restless legs may be from the nutrients you're eliminating from your diet because you've changed food, not necessarily the "gluten free" aspect. I normally eat a banana daily for the potassium, which keeps my restless legs or cramps away. I haven't had any bananas lately, and so I took some potassium tablets the other night when I...
  10. Vodka would be good :-> I looked at the labels of many different "coolers" one day, and it seems ALL of them are malt liquor. People call them "wine coolers", but they're more like beer coolers!
  11. Hello everyone! I definitely wasn't expecting to find mineral makeup on a gluten-free site! I've been using minerals for several years now. I have some EM, but never got hooked on them. If you want to explore more minerals or have fun in a different mineral forum, check out Open Original Shared Link There are about a zillion mineral makeup brands...
  12. Think about it this way, how might a "trace" of LSD affect someone? My doctor says minute doses are still doses.
  13. I just buy everything at my doctors' offices. I've searched the web, and some of the products are only available to professionals, and others cost about the same, before shipping is added. I'd be interested to know what people are buying, where. Thanks, Lori
  14. I get bags of roasted, salted cashews from Trader Joe's, and I COULD consume the whole bag (and feel really sick) if I let myself. Nuts are hard on the gut, but no gluten (or soy, dairy...)
  15. My "handlers" prefer I avoid all grains and pseudo grains (rices, anything you could consider grainlike). I don't know if you're familiar with applied kinesiology, i.e. muscle testing? (see Power vs. Force by David R. Hawkins for the concept. I muscle test weak to anything grainlike. Sugars are also a problem, i.e. alcohol. I have to avoid vodka for...
