  1. Oh, and I forgot. The website, that leads you to this list is Open Original Shared Link Hope this helps you, Stef
  2. Hi Mel, well, there's a drug list out there. Try this Open Original Shared Link This list doesn't show the ingridients, but it shows you which drugs are gluten-free. Stef
  3. Gosh, i hate people like that . They make the whole thing look ridicoulesly (spell?) easy . Well... it's not. When i hear something like that, that makes me want to slap and shake those people that it's not even funny anymore . I mean, helloooo!!! Wake uuuhuup!!! If they want to suffer from it, then they should just eat their wheat and shut the f* up....
  4. I just read that about the research next year and the pill that allows you to go on a regular gluten diet. That's typical again. Don't go to the source of your problems, instead find a comfortable way around and eat pills, pills, pills. This isn't a real solution guys, better withdraw from gluten, than eating a pill and eat gluten regular. I'd only take this...
  5. This is probably the reason, why he only spends 10 minutes with his patients. Because, if there would be more, most celiacs wouldn't "bother" him, they would go to the other good docs.
  6. I know the normal snickers are gluten-free. I also eat them all the time. Stef
  7. Hi mela, Gas X has gluten. I'm 100% sure, because when i started the glutenfree diet i did the same mistake and asked the same question either on this or on the german message board (i'm a german living in the states). So i finally figured out, that it was the Gas X where i got the hidden gluten. I can't find it on the label either (maybe it's the maltodextrin...
  8. Hi Donna, i would like to know more about the soy/neurological damage correlation, too. I still want to win a (one more actually , but in a far bigger association) world title, before i get my first kid. And with the nerve problems i have sometimes (you never know, when it hits you), it's impossible to prepare properly. Duhh!!! Would be cool, if i...
  9. Hi Nin, thanks for your respond. That's what i thought, too. I just have the feeling, that she doesn't realize how severe it is, and that makes me sad and frustrated. I will give her some things to read and maybe print my question and your answer out, too, if you don't mind. I know, i didn't write very friendly, but it also makes me mad, because i have...
  10. Hi there, i'm very concerned about a friends daughter. My friend is from India, also her husband and she has a son and a daughter. They all live here in the states, where we met. The daughter is now 5 years old and she is very whiney and hyperactive. And sometimes she is so itchy, that she scratches her skin bloody and then she whines even more. Sometimes...
  11. I use the Quaker's rice cakes. They are very yummy. They also taste "untoasted". But toasted they're much better. And @ tom: I don't buy a bread machine, because i get one for christmas and then head first in all the breads. Yippie!!! Praise to all good mother-in-laws. Well, i guess she just spoils me, because my parents live on another continent...
  12. Hi Barb, ooh, i love the pizza crust with the garbanzo bean flour, too. It's so yummy. But since i always try the dough, before i put it in the oven, i also did that with the garbanzo bean flour. I have to warn you. Do not eat it, when it's not baked yet. It's yacky. But once it's done, it's so good, you can hardly believe, it didn't taste before. Once...
  13. Hi Maggie, i'm glad i could help you, too. Like celiac3270 i'm a very picky eater, so if i like it most other people do as well. Stef
  14. Hi Ron, it's me again. I don't know, from where you are. But in the north eastern area of the US, there's a supermarket chain called Wegman's and they have one isle only for celiac people. I'm still about to compare the prices, but i thought, they are a little cheaper than most of the health food stores and the internet shop and you don't have the shipping...
  15. Hi to all, i tried something now, that one co-worker of my husband said he had done. This co-worker is a celiac, too. Put your rice cake in your toaster. I know, it says on the package not to do it. But if you put the toaster on low and watch it the whole time, so you could take it out, before it goes black, not much should happen. The result is much...
  16. Hi Ron, first things first. Welcome to our message board . Now, there is a list with glutenfree foods in the net, that you can use, when you go grocery shopping. Here's the Open Original Shared Link Then all fresh fruits, vegetables and salads are gluten-free (uncanned). Then the frozen and canned fruit in 100% fruit juice is gluten-free....
  17. Yes, flagbabyds is right. I don't know, if there's a relation to celiac. But with some stuff they gave me it didn't work at all. It just made me more wound up. Stef
  18. Hi tom, i heard something completely different. With some people it can take more than 10 years until all the symptoms come back, so 6 years isn't a long time. It depends on the person. Once you go glutenfree and your intestines healed completely and you would reintroduce gluten, it could take a few days for the first symptoms, weeks or even years. I already...
  19. Hm, the pizza crust made from the garbanzo flour is really yummy. That stupid taste bakes out completely and once the pizza is done it's so good. Makes me want to eat one every day.
  20. My grandmother also died of colon cancer and some other cancers and my mother just mentioned couple of weeks ago, that she, once again, has had some polyps removed. She almost has all the symptoms i have. I'm pretty sure, she has celiacl, too. But you know, some parents always know everything better. She ignores my suggestions and doesn't get any test to...
  21. Hi Cori, i've had most of your symptoms, too. Except of the pain on the right abdomen and under the ribs. I had little problems all my life - a little bit here, a little bit there. But the real severe symptoms also started after a surgery with me. This is also one already known trigger of celiac. So if they diagnose you with celiac, there would be your...
  22. Wow, that sounds familiar. There are two possibilities. Either i'm too tired to do anything and just go to bed. Or i'm really everywhere at the same time. Especially now, that christmas is comeing. Reading up, house cleaning, makeing or wraping x-mas presents, sports... The last thing i mostly do before i'm totally exhausted and tired is sitting in front...
  23. Hi to everybody, wow, i also thought, that's me. And the most exciting thing is, i already made a connection with all my symptoms and celiac, except of the parfumes and stuff. I had that, too. I just didn't make the connection. I also have problems with cigarette smoke. When i was a little girl, it was so bad, that i got my step-dad to quit smoking....
  24. Yes, i know the german stubbornness . I'm from germany, my mother has colon polyps, too. I try to convince her since 6 month now to get the biopsy. No success so far. Well, in germany we have a proverb: Who doesn't want to listen has to suffer. Nice greetings, Stef
  25. Now i remember long before i knew i had celiac my left wrist hurted sometimes. In training camp it was so bad i couldn't even do push ups anymore. Sometimes it was there a few weeks, then it was gone again. My left knee makes strange noise, too. Though it doesn't hurt. But my right hip sometimes hurts so bad, i can't even walk. This hip pain started about...
