ARCHIVED Celiac In Toronto News Today
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to Canadian Karen's topic in Publications & Publicity
Thanks, Jessica, it helps me so much . For my husband just said: 'Stef, I would like to order a magazine for you, since I can't decide on one for me.' He's so sweet. He knows I love to read new stuff and the more, if it's about celiac. Thanks a lot! Hugs, Stef -
ARCHIVED Applebees, Fast Food Restaurants
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to deener's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
Mwical, I thought, everybody on this message board already knows this. Sorry, if I would have known, that NOT everybody knows it, I would have posted it. I already ate there like 5 times since going glutenfree and haven't had any problems. At some Outbeaks you can actually bring your own bread, but you have to ask. In fact, they ask you to ask them on the... -
ARCHIVED Celiac In Toronto News Today
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to Canadian Karen's topic in Publications & Publicity
@ celiac3270: Sorry, I read this too late or missed it somehow, when I read it first. But there already has been a case with a priest in the catholic church. He had celiac and complained about feeling sick all the time he went to get communion. The end of the story was, that he left the catholic church and I don -
ARCHIVED Applebees, Fast Food Restaurants
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to deener's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
Hello deener, I just went to their website and couldn't find any information about something gluten-free. And in that case, I wouldn't eat there, because of cross contamination. It seems to me, they don't know about it at all. But the Chick-fil-A has a Gluten Info on their web page: Open Original Shared Link Don Pablo's has a Nutritional Information... -
ARCHIVED Enterolab Results Question
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to Bailey's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Hello Bailey, first of all, it's very good, that you (not like your family) are very aware of the problems you might have. That's good, keep on searching. Then now I try to answer to your questions. 1) I want to make the tests with EnteroLab, too. Sooner or later here. But money is an issue with us, so I didn't do it yet. Well, EnteroLab say of themselves... -
ARCHIVED Dealing With Fatigue And Lack Of Stamina
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to jymles's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Hi Kaiti, I also knew, that the body absorbs the things better, when you spray it under the tongue. We learnt that in medicine school with the Nitro Spray. Yeah, well, but i didn't know, that there are also vitamins you can spray. That's awesome, i gotta try that. @ cdford: I'm sure the shots work fine. I only heard good stuff about it. I'm just... -
With me it was the other way around. After years of getting it late it was in time for the first time after starting the gluten-free diet. The second time it was in time too and the third time it was late for about 7 days. Hugs, Stef

ARCHIVED Used To Get Sick On Airplanes Or Car Trips
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to a topic in Traveling with Celiac Disease
Sounds familiar. It actually was a trip in the car, that gave me the idea, this could have anything to do with what i eat. Cause the hot chicken wings I was eating, when i came over here and the car trip afterward showed me that. And 1998, when i flew from Germany to Canada and back I had so much pain in my knees, i almost crept out of the plane. Since i... -
ARCHIVED How Do You Make Then Understand What It Is!
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to roddi's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Hi Roddi, your family is italian? Well, do you live in Italy or in the states? It would probably help, if they would know, that in Italy each new kid who comes into school gets tested for celiac. That's why the number of diagnosed celiacs is the highest in Italy at the moment. Please, guys, correct me, if anything new already occured. But, in case you... -
ARCHIVED If Visiting Toronto, Go Here
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to Canadian Karen's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
Hi Karen, actually it's not so complicated. Only in the states they always fuss around for some reason. All the other countries in the World Karate/Kickboxing Association (WKA) have a very stable rating system and there's no luck at all, just good skills and training/preparing for the tournaments. It's just here in the states. But I was at the WC 20... -

stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to stef-the-kicking-cuty's topic in Traveling with Celiac Disease
Ah, I meant health food stores and not wholefoods. It's too late to concentrate, i should probably go to bed . Hugs, Stef -
Hi all, from April 8th to 10th my travel team and I are on a tournament in Warwick, RI. 2 people of my team are a celiac. Another woman, which I helped to get diagnosed, and myself. Which is pretty amazing anyway, two celiacs in one team . We should ask, if we could start in the handicapped class. No, just kidding . Oh, well... But we were wondering...

ARCHIVED If Visiting Toronto, Go Here
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to Canadian Karen's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
Awesome, thanks to all your replies. I have to try out some restaurants that week then. @ Karen: Yes, it's kickboxing. But this association is also a karate association, since they have divisions in both categories. I myself, try to qualify each year in pointfighting, freestyle forms and freestyle forms with weapons. But they also have the traditional... -

stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to absurduk's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Hi absurduk, First things first . Welcome on our message board I'm also not from the states (from germany) and live here since november 2003. In which state are you living now? I can probably help you a little better, if you would tell. McCormick should have Curry Powder and if it's not a spice mix, it should be glutenfree. For a glutenfree... -
ARCHIVED Slide Way Off The Wagon
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to dbuhl79's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
dbuhl79 - I think, if there are celiacs out there, who don't have symptoms with eating gluten-free. And there are celiacs who have symptoms. Why not be one of the celiacs, who sometimes have symptoms and sometimes not? If it only hurts you sometimes, that shows you, that it definitely hurts you. Even if not all the time. Just stick to the diet, getting hurt... -

stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to newby's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Hello Newby, I can relate to how you feel. My husband and I are married for 1 year and 1 month now and we want to have one baby soon. And i'm very worried for the kid to have celiac, too. But unfortunately there's no way of avoiding this. We will the kid get tested regularly, that's all we can do. And yes, i heard and read, it skips generations. My mother... -

ARCHIVED What Supplements Do You Take?
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to Karina's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
On the german message board there's also going on a discussion about enzymes (strange, some topics appear at the same time). And I asked them and they said Wobenzyme wouldn't be bad. So I started to take something called Wobenzyme N. The woman in our local health shop had it and when I started to get her attention on the fact, that there is a clear and a... -
My gluten-free bread recipe asks for egg replacer. I already made good bread without these egg replacers, because i didn't know, what to buy. Now i bought "Better'n Eggs" from Papetti Foods, and on the food list it only says that the Whites from Papetti's are gluten-free. How about the "Better'n Eggs" that say Fat Free and Cholesterol Free and Healthier Real...
