  1. Thanks. We ended up switching her back to her original formula and everything is fine now. She seems to not be able to digest Enfamil, but Similac is great.
  2. My 3 month old has been having a lot of trouble with constipation. She doesn't have Celiac Disease as far as we know. We switched her to a soy based formula and that helped for a couple of days, but now she's back to how she was before. Any suggestions?
  3. Hi! I live in Jacksonville, NC and also haven't met anyone else with Celiac here. I was diagnosed in 2003 (age 17) and have been living (or at least trying to live) gluten-free since then. My sister also has it. Thanks for posting, I never would have known there was anyone here with it too!
  4. Wow... I've never met anyone besides me and my sister who has Celiac... That's really cool that your husband does too.
  5. I have back problems and stopped taking my pain meds when I found out I was pregnant and it is hurting pretty bad... I was wondering if Tylenol was safe to take while pregnant? I have heard it is but want to be sure. Thanks!
  6. Just letting everyone know.... I just got a call from the doctor and my levels are up! My progesterone went from about 13 to 140-something. I'm sooo happy!
  7. Thanks for posting this! I'll definately try it!
  8. Hello there! I have been gluten-free for 5 years and have definitely found staples. I try to find "normal" things I can get anywhere b/c there isn't a health food store in my town. I, personally, love LUNA bars. They don't say they're gluten free, but they are 100% wheat free, and don't contain any gluten products (except for oats, which can be iffy...
  9. Thanks! I just had blood work done yesterday and should get the results mon/tue and I'm going to go in asap for supplements. I'm just so glad it's not just me.
  10. Thanks so much!
  11. Hi everyone! I just found out I'm pregnant, but my progesterone levels are really low. I have a doctor's appt tomorrow to have it checked again. I'm really nervous that it has dropped and I'll misscarry... (Again. I have been pregnant 3 times in the past and they resulted in 2 miscarriages and 1 still birth). Has anyone else had this problem? Can they...
  12. I have actually struggled from constipation for years. I have been gluten-free (with the occasional contamination of course) for about 5 years now but my GI tract is so damaged that I actually have to do enemas weekly... Probably for the rest of my life. I have tried everything in the past and nothing works except for magnesium citrate (which is herrendous...
  13. Hello again I am VERY interested in the support group! I live in Jacksoneville, NC so I'm only about 45min away from New Bern.
  14. Hi everyone I live in Jacksoneville, NC and have celiac disease. I have just recently heard of more people who have or know someone who has celiac disease or wheat allergies. It seems to be becoming much more well known, which I find pretty cool. Our local stores actually have a few gluten-free products in them! Anyway, I just wanted to throw...
  15. I have never had a problem conceiving, infact, the two times I have I was on 2 different forms of bc... However, both ended badly (the 1st with a still birth and the 2nd with a misscaraige) and I agree that it isn't just conceiving that's a major problem, it's the pregnancy itself. At least that's what it is for me. We want to start trying soon and...
  16. I was just reading through the resposes on here and wanted to thank you for yours. I had a VERY complicated pregnancy that ended in disaster. I was ingesting gluten (unknowingly) at the time and was sick from day one. It's soooo reassuring to hear that soemone else had a bad experience with their 1st pregnancy, but a great 2nd. Thank you so much for adding...
  17. Thank you! I will get definately follow your advice
  18. Hello everyone! I am new to the forrum and have a few questions.... I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease 5 years ago (when I was 18). My husband and I would like to get pregnant in the near future. This is a major step for me b/c we had a VERY bad experience with preggos about 2 years ago. I was on BC pills at the time and was completely surprised. I tested...
