    Getingt an occasional reaction from a chain restaurant is fairly unavoidable.     Try calling them and asking them first? I've been to bars where doing that would get your ass kicked, since we're talking "dives."     If its a regular bar, ask (demand?) to have your drink made in a disposable plastic cup, that way you no it has not been used before. Obviously this may be more difficult in an upscale bar.     Liz, Stone heart in cambridge is the best pizza in the boston area. The ONLY pie I've had that was better came from Pizza Pi in Keene, NH which I started a thread about a few weeks ago. I LOVE their sausage and carmelized onion pizza, and the fact that they stock Bard's beer. I came close to tears the first time I went.

    There are places to buy prepared food and groceries, but not really any restaurants in Brat that I personally know of.     I politely tell them I have food allergies to some of their products and ask if they wouldn't mind making my drink in a clean, sanitized vessel. They are always happy to oblige. Put 50 cents in their tip cup.

    Went to the GOM with my family. They have a decently sized gluten-free menu, good service, and a pleasant atmosphere. I had a gluten-free pizza with artichoke hearts and portabella mushrooms.     This place is AWESOME. Deli sandwiches, prepared foods, and deserts in a 100% gluten free environment. A bit on the pricey side but totally worth it. YUM!
