  1. Before anyone asks I did use the search function! Everything else was posted like 2 years ago so not so reliable imo. I just did a N.A.E.T acupuncture session and I find it hard to believe. How can something in one of your hands show you if you're allergic to it or not? Makes no sense. I did it yesterday for milk/calcium but it showed I was allergic to...
  2. Np I'm sure it's a stupid question anyways! Hehe thanks for replying.
  3. .
  4. Anyone know why my posts keep getting deleted and/or not added? Do they not follow the CoC somehow or are just that stupid of questions? Thanks.
  5. Didn't show up for some reason hmm.
  6. So I'm going to one to see if I have any other food intolerances besides gluten. Has anyone else done this before? specifically with an acupuncturist who does this instead of a regular allergist person. Thanks.
  7. Nice how do you feel since it has been 9 months on the diet?
  8. Do you all ever feel like we are desensitized to pain and symptoms now? Not to the point of us not feeling any of course, but what other people consider BAD for them is just like, every day for us? lol I was sitting around yesterday and my brother comes around. He has like the flu or something and says he's really sick. I ask him about his symptoms and...
  9. Look at it this way too. If you do accidentaly gluten yourself you don't jump back to day 1. It's not like you take 2 steps forward and 2 steps backward. It's more like 2 steps forward and 1 step backward. So yes you have to stay 100% gluten free to your best efforts but when you slip up it's not like all the work you did before is for nothing. Also...
  10. Well I guess I didn't mean to say all were normal, which they aren't, i'm just interperting them and keep in mind you should see an endocrinologist. To start off with your thyroid all of those tests seem to be normal. The correct ranges for TSH is actually now .3 - 3.5 and anything over I would say 3.0 is borderline mild hypothyroid. You have 2.0, however...
  11. Most of your labs seem pretty normal. As for the cortisol, 5 at 10am is roughly normal. It really depends when you wake up as well. The range for cortisol levels is supposed to be high in the morning, lowest at noon, then gradually level off in the evening but never get as high as the morning. These are some more labs I would recommend getting...
  12. Basically to get diagnosed with hashimotos you have to be tested for antibodies attacking the thyroid. It's just a blood test and if those are present depending which antibodies you have, and symptoms ect, you either have hashimotos or graves disease. Should always test for antibodies when testing TSH free t3, t4 levels.
  13. Does that pizza recipe you posted taste like pizza? Ive tried basically everything in form of gluten free pizza and cannot get around the cardboard box tasting crust in every pizza. It's so disgusting it makes me sick just looking at gluten free pizza.
  14. I am in very similar to you. Most of my tests were negative for celiacs. Two biopsies and the genetic testing was negative. One regular bloodtest was negative and one was positive. My first week on the diet I thought it was stupid and this is not what I have. Recently I have been feeling better even though it's only 4 weeks in. I would say give the diet a...
  15. I am looking for one as well. Preferably higher calorie if anyone knows of one. A website would be preferable
  16. Just to update I saw my new endo yesterday. She looked at the results and said I have mild Hypo with celiac disease. Also along with the hypothyroid is hashimotos. Lucky me! J/k but at least it's all treatable. Like how when you get one auto immune disease it usually comes in twos? Anyways she said the celiac was most likely why I couldn't gain weight being...
  17. My list would be easy. Canned tuna Water I could live off these for weeks.. maybe months. Plus vitamins of course
  18. Hmm I felt this way the first week as well. I'm on the diet for 3-4 weeks now and I notice small changes. I figure it just takes time and to stick with it! I was also huge into BB back in the day before getting sick. I had to stop training until I got diagnosed in january and I still do not workout. I'm waiting until my intestines further heal along with...
  19. I was curious after reading all these posts. I think I have some kind of hypothyroid or hashis going on beside my gluten intolerance. I know I only have gluten intolerance but maybe it's linked somehow ;? After being gluten free most of my symptoms are gone beside anxiety/bloating/depression. I have tested my TSH and such and it was kindve high, around 6...
  20. Not sure if it bothers me or not. It's only been 16 days on the diet so far. Tests that were negative: Biopsy x2 Genetic testing DQ2 + 8 Gliadin IGA Transglutimase (sp?) Test that was positive Gliadin IGG So you might see why I am skeptical ;P
  21. So as title says, does something as simple as one particle getting onto gluten free bread make that much of a difference? Say if you use the same toaster. Also Id like to say i'm not celiac, just gluten intolerant/sensitive. Ive been feeling a little better since going gluten free, but something like one particle of gluten possibly getting onto my bread in...
  22. So essentially would this mean if I went gluten free for 3-4 months, then ate gluten and felt normal that I did not have gluten intolerance or celiac? I was just wondering because I was never diagnosed, as 1/8 of the tests said I had sensitivity and the rest were normal.
  23. Ok so Ive read about the herx reaction otherwise known as the healing crisis. I was wondering since everyone goes through it I suppose. Does it just magnify whatever symptoms you had prior to going gluten free? Does it also on top of that add new ones? Like for instance I seem to have gotten new symptoms (diharea, headaches) along with magnifying my old...
  24. Thanks for the replies! I guess I just needed confirmation. Everyday that goes by and every week that I lose another lb and see myself more like a skeleton than a former active person makes me want to give up. I know I won't but it just gets harder everyday to continue. What makes it worse is since starting on this diet a week and half ago I feel even...
  25. So I'm pretty depressed and have been for the ~ 3 years ive had this go undiagnosed. I recently found out I was gluten intolerant and have only been on the diet for a week. I think what i'm going through is just healing crisis because it seems to be worse. Anyways, before this 3 years and during the first 2 years of "hell" I played sports such as ultimate...
