  1. Yes, that's right, I said ASS (otherwise known as a$$). And rectalphy. <shakes head at such sophomoric nonsense tsk-tsk> I think we should all assess the assiduosness of such obvious assent into immaturity... Bwah!!! You are forgiven, Paison. One day I will come to you, needing a favor.... did anybody get that??

  4. I'm curious--did you have diarhea or other abdominal issues as a result?
  5. Thanks guys gals, for the responses. My pain was growing slowly worse over a years time before it throbbed so bad I couldn't stand it anymore (we need throbbing ovaries like we need a hole in the head, right?). My GYN is a decent professional and knew enough to do the T V U, and that's when they saw the cysts. Although the doctor just wasn't concerned...
  6. Hello all. I was just wondering if anyone else has had ovarian cysts? I'm curious about the symptoms. I went to my GYN in the Spring because I had been having so much pain on my ovaries (mostly the right, but occassionally the left, too). The exam showed nothing, but they were visible on the TVUltrasound. My doc said that they should NOT be causing...

  8. You've had some great replies here and I just wanted to say that when my 9 year old daughter is glutened, the night time abdominal pain is probably her first and worst symptom. Intially her stomach will hurt just below the ribs, then she'll feel the pressure and the need to use the bathroom (usually without much result). If it's bad enough she will cry...

Have a great trip Be sure to thank yer mum-in-law, too You sound like a mom leaving her teenager behind instead of a trusted elder Just leave her the remote, the wine, and the local take-out numbers. Maybe she'll have a kegger bridge party ...
  14. I think the bakery you are referring to is Celiac Specialties in Chesterfield Township on Jefferson. You can get some of their products at Lifesmart Foods on Hall Rd (M-59) between Schoenner and M-53. Vince & Joe's also carries their products, but Vince & Joe's have their own gluten free baked goods that they make right there in their bakery and...
  15. Oh, how exciting! A possible meeting of sillies international So far all we know is that there is a prelim. date of about August 3-5 for the trip, BUT, noone has been asssigned to it yet. Scott can request it as his trip, but the actual date is based on first run of production on vehicles out of the plant in Brampton--so the date depends entirely upon...
  16. They posted the travel schedule at his work yesterday but haven't assigned the trips, which are to be divided amongst Scott and his co-workers. The validation trips this summer are to Ontario, Toledo, Windsor, and I think Austria and/or Italy. I said I'm up for Ontario and Italy as a tag-along. I'd love to meet up with you, Peter. We could have lunch...
  17. Good morning everyone A cold, rainy A.M. here in Clinton Township. It's been nice not to have to run the air conditioning. Hey Emily and Peter-- Scott may have to go to Ontario next month on business and I was thinking I might go with him. Any advice on places to stay, things to do? He would have to validate new vehicles at the Brampton plant...
  18. That is EXCELLENT news! Your strength is nothing short of admirable <tips hat to you> NIK--one word for you... SUNSCREEN Oh Sills, I made a yummy dinner. Sautee'd shrimp scampy (with butter and fresh lemon zest/juice and garlic and parsley and olive oil and white wine and fresh cracked pepper) with boiled sweet corn. I ate...
  19. I'm bored...and restless and...lazy. I am almost done reading "Duma Key" by Sephen King, and I have to say it's pretty darn good. I have been reading his books since I was in the fourth grade and I have always considered him my favorite author, as pedestrian as it may sound. No other author can offer me the 'suspension of disbelief' factor that he does...
  20. LOL X 100 Peter!!!! Your link to the Chateau in Quebec was excellent--must consider this as a vacation destination, also. Unfortunately, someone pretty much has to kick the bucket before I can take any expensive trips, because unless I inherit scoads of cash$$$ I won't be going too far. As my husband would say "I can't afford to pay attention" ...
  21. This post caught my attention when you mentioned 'aura's'. I'm not sure this is what you are talking about, but this link shows a simulation of a migraine aura that is very realistic. I've experienced these for about 20 years. I don't get migraine headaches very often (I've only had a few in my life), but I get the aura's frequently. I can go months w...

  24. Come to think of it, he was pretty soaked when he came in, and there was that loud knocking that I mistook for hail hitting the siding Seriously, poor guy had to set his cell phone to ring at 3 am to go down and scoop gallons of water out of the sump. It was filling at rate of 7 inches every fifteen minutes last night <askeert>
