  1. Is the nausea all the time or mainly after you eat? If it is when you eat try taking enzymes before, during, and after your meal it helps alot with digestion and absorption of food and the level of nausea that I get now is 10 times better. Hope you all feel better

    ARCHIVED Nausea

I still have some minor problems with nausea and I have been off of gluten for a while. Try taking some enzymes. Enzymes help your body to absorb the food and help with digestion. Enzymatic Therapy has brands that say right on the bottle what they are free of. Probiotics are good too. They are very small and they actually help alot with nausea. Just a suggestion...
  3. How long have you been gluten-free? If the gluten is still in your system you may have trouble gaining weight. Try enzymes and probiotics...they are very vital with absorbing the nutrients of your food. I know a great brand Enzymatic Therapy you can get them at the Vitamin Shoppe and probably other health food stores as well. They have probiotics as well...
  4. Yes Ensure is gluten free. I have one every day and it really helps get the calories I need to gain weight and I'm back at a healthy weight. Enzymatic Therapy has small capsules that are enzymes(very easy to swallow and I have a hard time swallowing pills) You can get them at the Vitamin Shoppe and I can give you that link if you don't have one around...
  5. I would go by the bloodwork. Biopsies are good to have but I have heard that if there is not alot of damage yet it can be missed. (that was not a personal experience it was a friends) Symptoms can take a while to go away. I have been gluten-free since Jan of 04 and it took months for the symptoms to go away. Make sure you don't have gluten sneaking in even...
  6. Hey I went through the same thing. I lost alot of weight with Celiac to. Try Ensure Plus(the butter pecan tastes the best in my opinion) over ice and it tastes great. It's an easy 350 calories for just 1 cup and it's gluten-free. Also high calorie things like cashews and snicker bars are good. When I got on the ensure plus I gained most of the weight I lost...
  7. I am sorry it offended you. It was not meant to do that or get anybody mad. This is America though don't judge people by who they vote for and get mad about it. I'm not even old enough to vote I'm 17 years old but I was just showing my support for him..I happen to like Bush. Have a good day tho and sorry if it offended anybody
  8. Definately don't feel alone on this. I have been gluten free since I was diagnosed around January of 2004. I have been seeing improvement but then I will have really rough days. The major thing is after I eat I get nausea(not to the point of vomiting but to the point of making your life miserable) and then it will go away when I have enzymes after about ...
  9. Hi My name is Kaiti too and I am 17. I was diagnosed early this year and I know what you all went through. People just don't get it. I get asked out and I have to say listen I can't go certain places and have certian things. I know there are alot of things we can all still have tho snickers, tcby ice cream, and there is a brand out called Glutino and you...
  10. Go with the blood test. If you are a new Celiac and have not had it long there may not be enough damage to the small intestine for a biopsy to detect.
  11. Hi Im Kaiti and I am 17 and I was actually just diagnosed with Celiac this year. When I first got the test done he said to eat the foods I would normally eat and dont change it because that will affect the outcome of the test. I ate wheat and foods containing gluten for about a week and then after the testing I went off it to make sure. If you are already...
