  1. I don't live near a Trader Joe's but I checked their website and it lists many things that are gluten/wheat free. I plan to stop by one of their stores the next time I am in Chicago. I am glad that you found this website, and being new to the gluten free world I understand your pain. Good Luck!!

I just went to see my GI for a follow up yesterday and he cautioned that you must even watch things like Ketchup and salad dressings for the possibility of Gluten. I am a very STUBBORN and Hard headed person, and after being 100% gluten free for a week and being mostly gluten free( not eating stuff I know I can't have, but I am sure that it snuck in a time or two) for almost 2 weeks, I had the not so brilliant idea to eat what I wanted last night. I thought " I have been doing good for 2 weeks, one meal won't hurt...
  4. My doctor did the same as Karen's. He did both the endoscopy and the colonscopy. He said the colonoscopy was to check for Chrone's disease and for inflammation in my bowel's as I was having a lot of pain in my right side. He did not state that he was doing that for Celiac confirmation though, but he did do 4 biopsies, and I am unsure what all of those...
  5. Thanks Everyone for your thoughts...I can see this is going to be much harder than I first thought. I honestly figured "oh I just can't eat bread-pasta," boy was I sadly mistaken...Definately not that easy. It will just take time, and practice. I am sure I will get it figured out. I know that I want to feel better so I have to make some changes thats...
  6. I was diagnosed on Tuesday and have been on a roller coaster ride every since, and have not been to see a dietician yet to work on making all of the dietary changes that I will have to make. I am cutting out everything that I know of so far, but as I read on here I know that there is lots more that I will be learning in the coming weeks/months/years probably...
