  1. I'm not being very helpful I know, but I have been gluten-free for about 3 months now, and was told the same thing. Health care differs from doctor to doctor, province to province. Out at school, the doctor had me remove gluten from my diet for nearly two weeks and then take the blood tests... not exactly effective and I tested negative. I have been told...
  2. Thanks Molly, my biggest issue has been not being cross-contaminated at dining hall, I did have a question about skin reactions that you might be able to help me with. I seem to break out it a hive like thing if i ingest gluten, but my skin doesn't seem to react when i touch it, I work at Tim Horton's so that was a major concern. Do you have any explanation...
  3. Okay, so I'm new to celiac and new to the forum. I just have a question for the other teen celiacs out there. I have been recently diagnosed after about two years of symptoms, and doctors telling me I'm just "tired" or "depressed". I am currently living in Newfoundland for University (although home is Ontario), and I'm finding myself very isolated... No...

I know the individual websites state that they are distilled, and therefore no gluten byproducts remain, but I am concerned since all the information...
  7. Whereabouts?? I'm from Ontario, but living in Newfoundland for school and was diagnosed about 3 weeks ago.
  8. As a recently diagnosed celiac, this is very good news. Thanks for posting.
  9. I am in my first year of university and have had some mild symptoms since I was young, but just started developing severe symptoms over the past few years. After many doctors telling me i was tired, or depressed, I got annoyed and started heading to my own diagnosis. I came to my next appointment and told the doctor exactly what to test me for. Just happened...
  10. Hi, I was just diagnosed about three weeks ago and am in the same place. I get sick almost daily and can't ever figure out what has made me sick. I almost failed out of school in my first semester because doctors were still telling me I had an emotional problem at that point. I have very little time to research and find out where gluten is hiding. It...
