  1. I will when I get home tonight.
  2. Thanks. We're going June 9th.
  3. That's what led me to Charlie's Soap! Want to point out, though, if you do use Charlie's for cloth diapers, you really must use it for ALL of your laundry. Since Charlie's cleans out the other detergents from the washer, it can cause those other detergents to settle into the diapers which can cause problems on baby's skin. There are a few stories of...
  4. Consider Charlie's Soap. You can't get it in the regular grocery store, but it can be ordered online or bought at Whole Foods. It's completely biodegradable, all natural, etc etc., and rinses clean away, eliminating the need for fabric softeners. A $10 bag (that's what I paid at WFM a few days ago) about the size of a small bag of cornmeal washes 80 loads...
  5. That does sound like shingles. Sadly, because of the chicken pox vaccine, shingles is becoming more and more common. What used to be a disease that affected the older generations is now hitting people in their 20's. There have even been reports of 9 year olds getting shingles. One of my neighbors has had it 4 or 5 times in the 8 years I've known her and...
  6. We go to the derm on May 20 and the gluten-free trial has been canceled. I posted on the pre-dx board about what his rash has done, but wanted to post it here, too, with updated pictures. The above picture was taken April 2nd. we went gluten-free around that time and I was using Psorzema on his rash. It was improving. As of April 20 most of the redness...
  7. Got my son's blood work back. Doctor is not concerned, but I can't help but be VERY concerned. All of his iga, ttg, etc., came back <3. It's his CBC (WBC in particular) that has me worried. She has also canceled the gluten-free trial and is moving forward with visits to the derm (May 20) and gastro (June 9). Here's the WBC results... Test result...
  8. BTW... here is a closeup of the two spots on his right leg...
  9. They haven't done anything to test his rash, the pedi just looked at it and said psoriasis. She said she could distinguish it from eczema by scratching at it, psoriasis would bleed, but she didn't want to do that to him. Well, I have, and no bleeding. A friend of mine whose daughter has been dx'd with celiac said his rash looks just like her DDs, and it always...
  10. This is a big eye opener for me. Wow. My 3 year old had a cavity filled last summer and me? Yea, let's not even go there.
  11. That's his spots from a few days ago. When I picked him up today they were nowhere near as red and it looks as if someone painted clear nail polish over them. Very shiny and slightly sticky feeling. Nanny thinks it's ringworm, but I would think the ped would have caught that 2 weeks ago.
  12. Try Charlie's Soap for a detergent. Get away from the chemical store bought stuff! I've been using it for several years now because it's better for cloth diaper laundry. I've found that since it rinses clean away I don't have any need for fabric softeners, either, which reduces our chemical load further. It will take several washes before your clothes will...
  13. My son has had a rash pop up on his thighs and belly over the last couple of months. It started off looking like tiny whiteheads, TONS of them over his thighs. Now there are 7-8 plaque like lesions on his thighs, and 3 on his belly. It does look like many of the psoriasis pictures I've seen (although my brother was dx'd with psoriasis 20 years ago and it...
  14. I just made an appt to take my son to Hadley for BioFeedback next Friday. Once I see those answers I think I'll know better which direction to go. I realize the MDs won't take those results seriously, but at least it will give me a stronger backbone to DEMAND that they keep looking.
  15. Would it be ok for me to take a picture of my son's spots and post it here?
  16. My son's weight has always been around 50% higher than his height, except when there weren't enough percentage points to allow for 50%. At birth he was 50% (although 75% corrected for gest. age)/50%. At 5 weeks he was 75% (UNcorrected, so an obvious move UP)/95%. 6 months he was over 50%/95%. Now at 3 yrs he's 10%/little over 50%. Even though he went up...
  17. I heard that mess about "toddler diarrhea", too. Dangit, if it ain't normal SOMETHING is causing it, is what I say! I am not a symptom treating kind of patient/parent. I'm a CAUSE SEEKER. Eliminate the source and you eliminate the need for drugs, right? Your LO's symptoms definitely sound like classic dairy issues. Are you sure you have eliminated ...
  18. I'm new to this whole celiac thing, so can't really offer any advice there, but as for Vit D, the best way to get your levels up is good ole sunshine. Without sunscreen. With digestive issues taking a supplement isn't going to help a whole lot, and it is possible to overdose on D, but your skin will never make too much. You can make Vit D in a tanning bed...
  19. I did find this picture... Open Original Shared Link and that looks very much like his rash, though he has fewer spots and they are spread out a bit more. Then again, so do a lot of psoriasis pictures. It looks a lot like that until he gets in the bathtub, when it gets much redder.
  20. Where is a good picture of DH online? My son's psoriasis started off looking like little white heads, like 30-40 of them on each thigh, then progressed into 7 or 8 total red plaque-like areas. Everything in between just disappeared. Psozerma lotion isn't doing a THING for it, almost seems to aggravate it, actually.
  21. Thanks for the quick response, Mushroom! Seems like we're thinking a lot alike. I have the Enterolab website open in another window. Had to approve an exception as it said their certificate expired about 12 hours ago. With so many people and celiac sites mentioning them, I figured their website had to be safe. I look forward to more opinions. From browsing...
  22. My son is almost 3 1/2 years old. He's been on a dairy free diet for 2 years now, as best as I can manage since his father (we're separated) refuses to believe it and continues to give him dairy when he has him, even though our custody order actually forbids it. Wonderful daddy actually sent me a picture of his Easter basket with Kit Kat bars in full sight...
