About Me

Live in Rome, GA

Diagnosed with Celiac on August 13th 2010.

  1. Well, it's been almost a year and a half since I wrote that. Here are some updates: I... Feel... Amazing... I used to lay in bed when I was sick and wonder what normal people felt like. Wonder how it felt to not be afraid of living. I'm now one of those normal people I used to dream about. I did end up getting a divorce, but it was for the best. ...
  2. It took 2 months of being gluten free for my symptoms to begin to ease up.
  3. It took me 2 months for things to begin to be ok. Everything made me sick for a while.
  4. He said there's no pain?!??!?!? ARE YOU KIDDING???? My pain is CRIPPLING!!
  5. A year and a half ago I was diagnosed with Celiac disease. You can read my story/symptoms here: I have remained religiously gluten free since then, just wanting to feel good, and I have felt AMAZING. About a month ago I went to a friends house and ate some chili, assuming it was made from chili powder and not a mix. After eating it, I was...
  6. Here's my story
  7. Well it's been a little over a month and I feel great. At first it was rough, the first 2 weeks I think my body didn't know what was happening, but now I feel better, better than I've ever felt in my life. I also find that things affect me differently. It only takes about 3 ciders to get me drunk. Also pills affect me differently. My Dr had given me...
  8. Any other ingredient names to look out for on stuff like this?
  9. I don't go defensive, I go offensive. I've been sick my entire life, never even knew what it was like to be "normal". I've been gluten free about 2 months now and just beginning to feel better. If someone threatens that, I threaten them right back.
  10. You should stay off gluten and dairy. I know people just say that and don't say anything else. Well, think about this. If you stop eating gluten and dairy you could be one of those normal people you dream about. That is the sentence I currently live by.
  11. I hear ya, i'm having a bad day also. Got glutened a few days ago, still fighting diarrhea and found out last night my wife is divorcing me. It can only go up from here, RIGHT??
  12. I called Campbells, they said nothing they put in a can is gluten free.
  13. YaY I found a gluten free store a few miles away from my house!
  14. Will my posts be forever moderated before they are posted? Or at a certain level do they skip that?
  15. My job recently moved an hour away. Before the move, I would get up at 7:30 am and be at work before 8. I'd then have a BM at about 8:10. But I was already at work so it was ok. Now, I get up at 6:00am to leave at 6:30. On the way I have to stop and have a BM, usually D. I can't keep doing this. I've only been gluten free for 2 weeks, as I just got...
