After insisting on a capsule endoscopy (like my old GI in NJ wanted me to have when I moved) he discovered I have an ulcer in addition to the Celiac and has done a total 360 in his attitude and demeanor.     Thanks Evie (I'm guessing that's your name), The Fiber-Con does seem to give me relief every few days or so. I think part of the problem is that rice is a large part of my diet right now. I'll try the magnesium after I have the biopsy of my ulcer on Friday. Don't want to add anything in before then. Thanks for your support! Loey

    It just sounds like such an amazing experience. Wouldn't it be cool if they found out it's a cure for Celiac (or other diseases)? Then we could all take a field trip (although most of us don't live too close to each other but it would be a good excuse). You're 6 feet tall, huh? I'm 4 ft 11 inches. Use to be 5 feet.     I found a great place to mail order soup mixes! They have a dietary section and under it are 4 pages of gluten free soup mixes (great for the upcoming cold winter nights). Prices are reasonable and they ship pretty quickly. BE VERY CAREFUL and look at all of the ingredients. One of the soups had barley in it and something I ordered was not gluten free. They...

    GRRRRRR I had a reply to this post and lost it!!!!!!! I was supposed to stay in today and rest (Klark wants me to be all right for Friday) but went to the bank and food shopping instead. Now I'm wiped out. I bought him a gluten-free meal that's pre-cooked (and overpriced) for dinner and then ingredients to make some crock pot dinners before Friday...

    A lot of the boxed products that they sell that say they are gluten free have either things I'm allergic to in them or preservatives we shouldn't be eating. Also, if you look above, RiceGuy mentioned that Arrowhead Mills Buckwheat Flour is cross contaminated. I used that last week to bake a cake for my friends when they visited.     I'm going to try it with white potatoes tomorrow. Sweet potatoes don't seem to agree with me. Klark has asked me to stay in until Wednesday when I have an appointment and my painting class.     It was Arrowhead Roots so I guess my husband will be eating the things I baked with it. I'll get the other kind that you mentioned when I'm out. I didn't feel well after eating a piece of the spice bread I made using it so now I know why. I have it in a plastic bag in my fridge - should I get it out of there so I don't get CC'd?     I'll have to check. i went to a health food store with someone I met on this forum who lives in my state and she walked me though the products row by row.     70 - I'm jealous (although the snow is beautiful). Klark didn't clean off my car (I think because he wants me to stay home today). I hope he'll do it tonight and pull our cars into the garage.
