  1. Everyone's ideas are helpful. Thank you. I will need to learn to make my own flour. The idea about sorting the grains is totally new. I've never made flour even though I bought an attachment for my blender just for grains. What sort of grinder do you use? In my case, I have worked for years to find what I am sensitive to. I am a very disciplined person...
  2. Hi. I couldn't figure out how to respond to your email, so am posting here. Thanks for your note. I appreciate the support. Yes, I would be willing to brainstorm what is safe and what is not. Are you able to eat steamed rice? I am thinking that if I rinse it well, it may not have any residues on it from any gluten grains. I think there are brands where...
  3. Thanks for your ideas. The ppm issue has seemed ridiculous since there is no real standard for measurement. How is one to know the total amount taken in? I am feeling at a bit of a loss right now. I have had a rather "cushy" last 6 years with staying away from gluten. My reactions have become shorter with a good round of supplements and last only 4 -7...
  4. Hi, all. I am new to this forum, so thanks for posting so much great info. I have only belonged to one other forum, The Canary Report, so have some experience with threads. I'd like to share some feedback with the greatest respect... If you broke this thread into topics, like oats, soy, multiple allergies with celiac, IBS, dairy, skin issues, emotional...
  5. Wow, you all said it so clearly. I am new and posted a question elsewhere on this subtopic a question related to this thread. Our bodies are complex and celiac is just one part of the big picture. For example, I am MCS and have a list of 22 food allergies that I avoid also. It was so overwhelming to find out all this stuff after I was tested. And even...
  6. I have had similar reactions. Commercial non-organic bananas make my mouth break out, grapes and other fruits make me feel like I have eaten poison. I think it is the pesticides and chemicals used at the packing sheds to wash the veggies and fruit. I come from a farm family so know how that system works. Some organics now have "natural" pesticides which...
  7. I am new. I have been on a gluten free diet for 10 years and after 3 years finally figured out where the gluten was hiding. I landed in the hospital with abdominal pain 7 years ago and after that I decided "zero tolerance" was the only way I'd be better. It has rarely been a problem until this last year. I have had a pretty constant pain in my abdomen...
  8. I am looked for a forum for days for what I call "zero tolerance" celiacs. I couldn't find one, and here it is! Wow! Thank you to whomever creates these things.
