  1. Hey guys! I've been gluten free for 1 month and 13 days and I feel GREAT. Best thing that has ever happened to me, so no complaints there. I eat 3-4 fruits a day, 2-3 veggies a day with some meat and potatoes thrown in the round stuff out. I have not really gotten into any of the "gluten free" food because I figure it's just safer, healthier (and cheaper...
  2. Sorry. I know its a total bummer. I was stupid and glutened myself almost 2 weeks ago and my eyes still feel like they have gravel in them (one of my awesome longer lasting effects it seems). Feel better!
  3. Congratulations! Isn't it amazing to have ENERGY!?!?!?!?! Good luck going forward.
  4. I pretty much had stomach issues from the time I was born, but nothing bad until I got into my 20s. When I was crawling I would constantly "urp" up on the floor. Since I loved mashed carrots my poor parents' carpet was covered in little orange spots. I struggled with extreme pain from ulcers in my teens but that passed finally as I settled down a bit...
  5. Well, last Thursday I was an idiot and now I truly know what it is to be glutened. -All my scent allergies came back -Skin rashes and itchiness crop up -Extreme fatigue -Brain fog -Paranoia (I start questioning whether feeling better was in my head!) -Lack of motivation to do anything but watch House episodes for hours. -The big C I'm still...
  6. I'm finding that there really is nothing that is good enough to make up for feeling sick for days after. I'm still recovering from a double whammy of ranch of my dressing (hopeful test of my lactose tolerance....fail!) and hot wings that I took a chance on because my gluten intolerant friend ate them. I guess it would depend on you, but I sorta feel like...
  7. Ok, so starting a food journal right away. I've been meaning to for a couple weeks but I'm doing it for real now. Yes, the chex are way gone. I'm giving them to my sister to eat. I will just start writing everything down when I get symptoms and after a while I'm sure patterns will pop out. Interestingly enough, I am having more gastric issues now...
  8. I've been gluten free since the end of January and I've seen a HUGE change for the good in all my crazy symptoms. My problem now is that the D that I had intermittently is now coming on worse and I have a lot of rumbling in my stomach after consuming different foods. It's getting hard for me to tell which food I'm reacting to. I don't know if I'm continuing...
  9. Sorry! I know feeling sick on top of everything else sucks. I've experienced that exact opposite. Gluten free for only 3 weeks and I had no problems with mine other than a tiny bit of fatigue which is normal for me. This is exciting to me as my PMS had gotten really bad the last couple of years. No cramps etc. It was awesome! (still some chest soreness...
  10. Will do! I swear it's the type A/oldest coming out in me. I want to do it all right, right now! Thanks for the encouragement. These forums have been invaluable already!
  11. Toxins stored in my fat makes sense. It had come to mind but I didn't know if I was just being silly or not. Thank you! As far as CC goes I'm being as careful as possible. I live alone, so I don't have to fight that fight. I do, however, have to travel for work a lot and that is what makes things difficult. The bunless burger was one I ate at Carl's...
  12. After years of chemical and fragrance sensitivities, severe joint pain, acid reflux/heartburn, severe nausea, fatigue, brain fog, all over malaise, constant gas/rumbly tummy, and a constant swing between D and C and difficulty losing weight, my new doctor recommended that I go on a gluten free diet. I have been gluten free for 3 weeks and at first I felt...
