  1. thank you tarnalberry! Will do
  2. Would you mind taking a look at my results??? I think they are absolute worthless negatives but wondering what the last one is...
  3. Thank you for your response. I know that my frequent posts must be irritating. I just feel like I am against the world. We haven't had the genetic test done yet but I just sent that request to a nutritionist I will be meeting with. My doctor has me going to see her instead.
  4. Oh wow!!! I can't believe you think you can't have celiacs because you are overweight. Open Original Shared Link I am so sorry you have to go through this. I am wondering though if you need to actually get yourself sick in order for him to be tested. I mean your son is already being glutenized... maybe you can just mention that you were noticing improvements...
  5. You are right about that. It doesn't solve anything!!! OK - so here is my concern... we don't have a diagnosis and will never get one unless we go back on gluten for probably 3 months... the first time we went gluten free symptoms went away sooooo fast (one symptom for my daughter went away the same day she went gluten free). I am shocked and confused that...
  6. so frustrated.... finally got someone to read them to me over the phone: IgA negative (I wonder if that means they didn't test) tTG - under 2 - range 0-3 tTG Igg - under 2 range 0-5 immunglobulin a,qn - 186 - range 70-400 Everything looks negative... don't know what the last one means. I am so lucky to have a twin sister who has not been...
  7. Thank u all for writing me. I can't figure out how to explain this to my husband... if she doesn't start gaining weight in two weeks he will insist that I stop worrying about gluten. Also don't know how to keep her safe from "accidental" gluten since my husband will probably be sneaking her some. I wish the tests were better thna they are... like they take...
  8. I feel frustrated. I have eaten gluten stuff my whole life. I've always had trouble with my gut. When I cut out gluten from my diet a couple weeks ago I felt great. My daughter immediately had a relief from some of her symptoms. The doctor asked us to go back on gluten because we didn't have test results but this was after blood test. VERY ANGRY with...
  9. what a great idea... I have never bought vanilla beans b4 but probably easy to find! Thank you for posting the recipe.
  10. thank you guys!! I should just try it and see what happens. In my gluten free cook book she talked about how picky it was to convert recipes... had to have the correct amount of dry and wet... but probably with this it wont be a big deal.
  11. oops - I didn't realize you were responding to someone's post about store bought icing. I feel the same way... it is not as good
  12. Hi, I like almond milk so much better than soy or rice milk. Soy milk has a wierd aftertaste and I find ricemilk too sweet. I use unsweetened plain almond milk by Almond Breeze. If I can't find unsweetened plain than I get the unsweetened vanilla kind. I feel the plain is actually unnoticeable in a recipe. I find the almond milk made by Silk tastes just...
  13. Just had awesome chocolate pudding!! Dairy and gluten free!! Very thick... would not know it was dairy free or gluten free. (I used almond breeze unsweetened vanilla almond milk) Ok so here is the recipe on my "Let's Do Organic Cornstarch" box for chocolate pudding: Chocolate Pudding - makes about 2 cups 2 cups soymilk, rice milk, almond milk 3...
  14. Hi... Guess I forgot to turn the watch topic button on so I had no idea you guys had responded. I appreciate your advice!! That is awesome that it can stay out on counter with no problem.
  15. Hi all, We are starting to go gluten free. Should be thoroughly gluten free by tomorrow (shopping today). If you don't mind please help me figure something out... I bought the cookbook "You Wont Believe It's Gluten Free" Open Original Shared Link I know when I buy gluten free bread it has to be stored in the freezer and then toasted in order to be...
  16. I have not been diagnosed with anything but I'm pretty sure I at least have an allergy to wheat. We were off wheat and since being back on wheat I have noticed my urgency go way up.
  17. Today we are starting gluten free.
  18. I know exactly what you mean when you say peaceful. I am currently having a horrible time.
  19. hi mscurious...i don't understand what you mean. do you mean that he may mean that i do have a mild case of celiac which is labeled gluten intolerance?
  20. I'm sorry about this. It seems like I can't quite keep up... so do you mean yes, we are safe if it doesn't contain the words wheat, rye, barley, malt? oops - I mean other than the shared facilities thing...
  21. maybe he meant "you do not have anything as severe as celiacs but you may have a wheat allergy"
  22. Am so confused. I have been bugging my doctor via email (because I left my cell phone elsewhere) about various info I've learned about celiacs. This is the response I got: "Your Celiac tests- tTg IgA and tTg IgG are both absent. Your sources are correct in that what this suggests is you do not hve severe celiac disease. Wheat allergy is a different...
  23. I checked out the links... those are LONG lists. BUT this other part you mention about it having to state if it contains... does this mean we are safe if it doesn't mention wheat, rye, barley, malt. Don't they also have to state if it was made somewhere that also uses wheat???
  24. Hi, 18 month old. Failure to thrive. Blood test came back negative which was expected since she had been gluten free and also due to age. Doctor states to give her 2 weeks to see if gluten free will make a difference. How much should I expect her to gain and how fast?
  25. I may be the only one to state this but yes, when a child has allergies to wheat/gluten and they are exposed to wheat/gluten then it makes them have a hard time controlling their bladder. My daughter at 18 months old has not been diagnosed but I noticed when I took her off gluten she could go all night without wetting the bed and stayed dry all day and now...
