    I was the same way! I was pretty freaked at first but now I embrace it. I pride myself on making gluten recipes gluten-free. It's like a game for me. And the fact that I feel so much better is amazing!

    I feel the same way! I never would have guessed (nor would anyone else) that I was malnourished! I re-started Weight Watchers in Jan and from then till my dx in June I lost 7 lbs. When I got dx, I dropped 6 lbs in 3 weeks. I think I've put some on in the last couple of weeks but that's cause I spent some time eating gluten-free junk! I'm starting back...

    Glad you found her too! I love that she actually LISTENS! I happened to be in St. Anne's with diverticulitis when I got the call from her office about the celiac. They were super nice and printed out a TON of in for for me. That's where they did my endoscopy and she answered all of my hubby's questions. When I went back for my follow up she sat and talked...

    I just had my 18 & 6 year old boys tested. My 19 year old daughter has yet to test. Still waiting for results but I would definitely test the kids. Just my opinion.

    The first 2 weeks after my dx, I felt really good. Then I got glutened and ended up back in the hospital with diverticulitis again. Felt bad for almost a week but now I'm back to feeling really good again! I'm so happy! When the diverticulitis came back I felt so defeated but now I'm feeling great again!

    My brother-in-law brought me some and we put it on both arms so he could choose when he got there. It was still an ordeal (I don't even want to go into detail, just know it involved me and 2 techs) but it got done and after the one tech told him the needle was already in he calmed down.     Oh I know that. There was no way the test was happening though the way he was flailing around. My brother works on medical and is bringing me some of the emla cream and we're going to get the test tomorrow.

    That's amazing!! I am going to my sister's today and I'm not sure they wil be as kind. I already know that she has regular brownies and apple pie. She will be having burgers and dogs that I can have without a bun and she'll have guac and fruits and veggies. There will at least be some stuff I can have. I'm so happy for you that a brand new community...

    They don't do them in the office. There's a lab downstairs from the office so we're good there. Plus the doc doesn't do any poking anyway. That way the kids don't relate pain to the doc.

    Mummy, if you've already been tested and are just waiting for results, why don't you try going gluten-free? The only reason you would have to continue on gluten is to make sure the gluten is in your system to show on the test.

    I don't know that I would write off an entire chain. Corporate can put as many rules and such in place as they want to. The problem ulitmately lies in the particular location and more specifically, the people that you are dealing with and that are dealing with your food.     My bff is a manager at OG and the new menu has been rolled out. The old pasta dinner was basically a TV dinner and according to her was terrible! The new pasta dinners are much better. They get the pasta in frozen and as it's ordered, they portion it out and it gets brand new sauce to be put on it. Of course everything's done with clean dishes. I can't wait...

    I agree obake. I feel like I bor my hubby too. He acts like he's listening but really? lol I started a blog and I rant and vent there but I feel like I need to explain it to people.
