samie replied to tracy12's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I had potassium problem before being diagnosed and had to stay in the hospital for a couple days so they could give me some in my iv. It should get better after a while on being gluten free. You might need to have your doctor check it to make sure it is not to low. Eat some foods with good amounts like banana. -

Like others have said check for cc. Also sometimes it can take awhile to heal complete so get your iron checked again to make sure it still normal. I have had anemia for years then got diagnosed with celiac and they told me until my intestines heal I will probaly have problems so I might need another iron transfusion.

Yes pregnancy can cause celiac symptoms.that's what I was told. I had symptoms for years but it got worse after I had my 3 child. Anemia and miscarriages can be symptoms of celiac. Those two I had. you should find a gasteroligist if you want the tests done to confirm it. -
I have not been to Disney but have heard they are good about keeping the food gluten-free and no cc. Hope you have a great time.

Some people only have positives on blood or positive on the endoscope but not both. Some people have intolercent to gluten to so that might be the problem. Did your doctor do the full celiac panel cause some don't do the full panel. -

samie replied to Bambamonabike's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
If you are gonna get tested than you got keep eating gluten. If you stop eating it the test can come back negitive. So decide if you want an offical dignostic. If not you can do a gluten challenge but that can be negative to.
