  1. My 1 yr old has this rash on his diaper area mainly around his butt and top side of legs around his lower butt. There is red spots and looks like some open blisters some watery looking. He also has been pooping a lot lately about 4 to 5 time a day. Even though I have celiac I never had the rash so I was just trying to figure if it might be.
  2. I had potassium problem before being diagnosed and had to stay in the hospital for a couple days so they could give me some in my iv. It should get better after a while on being gluten free. You might need to have your doctor check it to make sure it is not to low. Eat some foods with good amounts like banana.
  3. If she wants waffles Kroger sells gluten-free one brand name is van's. Its in the frozen section of the health food area. Me and my girls like them. Udi and rudi is good bread.
  4. My little girl has both to. She was diagnosed with diabetes at 3 a month before she turned 4. Then I got tested for celiac it came back positive so her doctor said she need to be test and she was positive to at 4 1/2. Now she turned 5 in Nov. It was really hard for her to though it is getting better. Since she is almost 10 can you explain a little about her...
  5. Yes celiac can cause fertility issues I have had 3 miscarges and 3 kids but found out after diagnosed with celiac that it was why I was miscarrying and that some people can't get pregnant because of it.
  6. Like others have said check for cc. Also sometimes it can take awhile to heal complete so get your iron checked again to make sure it still normal. I have had anemia for years then got diagnosed with celiac and they told me until my intestines heal I will probaly have problems so I might need another iron transfusion.
  7. I planned on getting LPN for now then going back when my youngest starts preschool or kindergarten. He turned 1 a few Weeks ago. but if I'm able to I would go for it all. Mg hubby bio-mom live out about 20 min from the beach in n.c. Where is Durham. We plan on taking a road trip in about a month or so to decide where for sure.
  8. Yes pregnancy can cause celiac symptoms.that's what I was told. I had symptoms for years but it got worse after I had my 3 child. Anemia and miscarriages can be symptoms of celiac. Those two I had. you should find a gasteroligist if you want the tests done to confirm it.
  9. I have not been to Disney but have heard they are good about keeping the food gluten-free and no cc. Hope you have a great time.
  10. I was wondering about they area that are good to live in. My family and I are planing on moving by summer time. I want to be settled by fall cause my oldest child will be starting kindergarten then. I plan on starting college when she starts. I am looking into essec county college. But not for sure. I am thinking about LPN degree or early childhood education...

  13. I would get her tested. My oldest daughter had constipation problems since she was about one some months she was fine then it would start up again one time they have her medicine to help. I finally got her tested at 4 1/2 after I was diagnose now she's been gluten free 6 mtgs and it has gotten slot better. She only has issues if she get glutened.
  14. I have heard that celiac can cause type 1 diabetes. Which has made me wonder if my daughter was diagnosed with celiac before 3 if she would be diabetic. She had shown signs of celiac since she was one and was not diagnosed till she was 4 1/2 but got diagnosed with diabetes at 3. My baby boy still eats gluten sometimes he just turned one and I plan on getting...
  15. Yes its normal to feel that way but it will make you feel better. There are gluten-free pasta and breads. Most things can be made gluten-free. The biopsy from the endoscope checks for different things and celiac damaged. Though if you are getting an endoscope they say you should stay eating gluten till you have it done because it can cause false negitives...

  17. Healing can be different to everybody. You might see improvement in a couple Weeks but it can take several months to fully heal. Its not predictable. The easiest way to shop food is go around the outer areas to shop like meats dairy veggies and fruits. Some people have problems with lactose products till they heal. Make sure your soaps and shampoo is gluten...
  18. We had a good christmas. I made honey glazed ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, and deviled eggs.
  19. It could be allergies but another thing could be low iron. When mine is low i have bags under my eye

  21. Welcome. Just letting know if you want to get more tests done don't go gluten free yet. Cause it can cause false negatives. Ask questions you want to know I m sure u can get the answers you need. There lots of help on here.
  22. Yes it can come back negitive. Not everyone come back positive on the blood test becausethere are lot of false negetives. Some people only have positives on blood or positive on the endoscope but not both. Some people have intolercent to gluten to so that might be the problem. Did your doctor do the full celiac panel cause some don't do the full panel.
  23. I had a endoscope last january when I was in the hospital because of issues related to celiac and it was easy. They gave me an iv of medicene for anastesia. I was tired after it but took a nap and was fine. My two daughters had it done a few months ago and they were fine just tired so they took a nap after that they were fine.
  24. If you are gonna get tested than you got keep eating gluten. If you stop eating it the test can come back negitive. So decide if you want an offical dignostic. If not you can do a gluten challenge but that can be negative to.
