    Thank you for your replies! I do think you all are on to something with the iron (our levels have been from a little low to very very low over the years). I am going to focus on the iron first since that is easier and then see about other foods. I don't have seasonal allergies but my husband does - perhaps she has a genetic double whammy.     My favorite is Schar, but I just tried Jovial this week. I made baked mac and cheese with it and it came out really good! I know Schar and Jovial cost more, but they really do taste better to me so I try to fit it into the budget when I can.

    The Finesse clean line does make gluten-free hairspray (it is labelled) available in the US! I don't use hairspray, but I received it as a gift just because my mother say it on the label! She bought it at Rite Aid but has also seen it at Walgreens and a few grocery stores. I bet you could find it online too!

    According the website at methodhome.com, they don't use gluten in any of their products. Method is what I have been using for soap, washing machine, dishwasher and counter spray! If you go the website, FAQ #68, it says this: All of method's products are 100% gluten-free and safe for those with Celiac Disease.

    I just looked at the website (desertessence.com) and most products are designated gluten-free, but I found wheat in the ingredients for the shea butter (body scrub). Almost everything was labeled gluten-free but I don't think it all is? Did I read it right? I tend to be someone that has made several mistakes by confusing "a company whose labeling I can trust...

    I've experimented a lot with different shampoos/washes lately - and I find I just am more comfortable is something actually labeled gluten free instead of relying on absence in ingredients (my two small children also have Celiac, so the chances of it getting in the mouth are much higher here!).
