My favourite yeast free bread recipes come from Carol Fenster. I do a lot of my baking with her Sorghum flour mix. I can definitely recommend her books “Gluten free 101: Easy, basic dishes without wheat” and “Wheat free recipes and menus”. I’m on a rotation diet and I eat buckwheat, millet, amaranth, quinoa, sorghum and rice without any trouble. I think what often happens is that your systems is very sensitive when you can’t eat gluten and that it easily gets irritated. In my case it is. Delicious Barbecue Marinade 10ml crushed garlic 30ml lemon juice 5ml chillies 5ml salt 5ml-10 olive oil 10 ml crushed ginger 10 ml ground coriander 30 ml fruit chutney. Combine all ingredients to a paste and use to smear on both sides of the meat before barbecuing or grilling. This marinade is a regular stand by in our household.

I really like the taste of buckwheat or millet or quinoa cooked up as a whole grain. Buckwheat has a real nutty flavour. You can cook buckwheat and millet the same way you cook rice.
