allergyprone posted a topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Hey guys I went to my Gastro yesterday and because I'm almost done with college and I might be moving she gave me a copy of all of my records. Since being gluten free (5 years) I have had almost no relief from any symptoms and I'm looking for some answers, and no one has been able to give me any. While I was reading through my records I stumbled across... -
Thank you guys, StephanieL -- I got the allergy testing done because I started having more digestive issues than before I went gluten free. I had been eliminating out foods that I thought were bothering me, and was down to almost nothing. I'm not 100% certain but rice seems to cause me heartburn and bloating type reaction. The allergist tested me for all...

Thanks for the ideas Cavernio - I have looked into Reynauds syndrome and it doesn't really fit my symptoms because it doesn't seem to be related to stress or cold, mainly it is sleep or triggered by my position. I started having the symptom before I started taking any medications so I don't think its that. I am taking amitryptaline as a sleep aid instead... -

Thanks again guys, ravenwoodglass - it kind of looks like that but not quite as red, mine is more of a blue gray hue. I am really particular about what I eat and I make all of my own food and don't really eat with non-gluten free people, so I don't think I'm getting CC if I am I have no idea how. I do know that I have other sensitivities/intolerances and... -

Thanks for the ideas guys Madagascar- the temperature doesn't seem to effect me turning blue, but I have noticed that the less sleep I get the more frequently it happens, also I asked my dr if it could be raynauds but he doubts it. I have not had my heart or circulation checked recently, I had an ekg about 5 years ago and it was fine, I was told I had a... -
Has anyone experienced their entire body (hands/arms, torso, legs/feet) turning blue/gray randomly, I have talked to my dr already but he seems stumped, and doesn't want to do tests until its worse. It started this past summer it happened like 2 or 3 times and it always happened when I had been laying on a flat wooden surface, and it didn't happen again until...

Is it safe to go vegitarian if you are gluten free, lactose intolerant, allergic/sensitive/whatever its called when you get sick from eating peanuts, eggs, bananas, anything from the cabage family, anything from the broccoli family, and soy? Reason for considering vegitarianism: any and all news articles about pink slime, large chunk of hair found in a...

I was doing a little research today and I found that a comminality between almost every food that makes me sick is lutein. I was wondering if anyone had some information on a lutein intolerance or allergy, or if anyone knows how to find out if it is the lutein or I just got lucky with my "problem" foods (yellow corn {not white}, egg yolks {not the white}...

allergyprone replied to allergyprone's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I haven't had a fasting blood sugar or glucose intolerance test, the dr (at student health services) said i didn't need them becuase my blood sugar was in the normal range when they tested it, even though type 1 diabetes runs in my family (my paternal grandmother and all of her siblings) they only told me the thyroid test was fine. -

I was tested for diabetes at the beginning of the school year, because I had (still have) increased thirst/urination, fatigue, vision problems, and headache. they did used a glucose meter and measured my sugars when I went in and said that they were normal. they also checked my thyroid, which was normal, and checked for mono, also negative. -

ARCHIVED List Of Celiac Friendly Colleges

I am a freshman in college so I recently was looking at schools. I would recomend finding the schools that you are interested in for their major, size, location, etc. before worring too much about them accomidating celiacs, especially if you have a dr dignosis. When you go on college visits make sure to try out their gluten free options and scout out how... -

Have you ever looked into a sensory problem. They run in my family, and kids with them are usually hyper or hypo sensitive to a sense which causes them to be extremely picky about what they eat, touch, etc. This link has some info on it Open Original Shared Link If it sounds like your daughter it might help to get her into occupational therapy, because...
