  9. Are you still experiencing gum infections and loss of bone density in my teeth, constant rashes and allergic reactions, sleeping 12+ hours a night, foggy mind, sores in the corner of my mouth, depression and anxiety, sciatic pains, dry skin, poor circulation, hair loss and weak nails? Or have these symptoms started to show improvement? Something to consider...
  10. Hey thanks! I will try this. The yellow is coming from saffron (and tumeric), this has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. Even with the prepackaged stuff my wife does really well, but given the opportunity to cook fresh I will take do it. Dustin
  11. Chicken and yellow rice tonight:-) Maybe some black beans... Only draw back is that I have not been able to find an MSG free yellow rice mix (dye free and of course gluten free though :-) I ussually modify the recipee a little. Butter instead or margrin and chicken broth instead of water plus extra garlic and tumeric.
  12. I know that sauces can be hit or miss on what all they have in them, so I thought I would pass along my modification to my grandmother's sweet and sour sauce recipe. It goes great on grilled chicken or pork ribs :-) 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup tamari 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar 1/2 cup sugar 1 tbsp rice/tapioca flour Combine the water and flour in a...
  13. Good afternoon, The intent of this poll is to determine the satisfaction level of military members (active duty, guard, reserve, retirees) and their dependents with the military health care system. This is not an official poll by the Department of Defense but strictly my own curiosity. I personally would like to see a Naturopathic Doctor at every military...
  14. Mel. My wife and I are praying for you.
  15. Mel, You have an incredibly similar situation to my wife. From what I have learned, just to reassure you, the IgG antibodies you are producing against those food proteins indicate leaky gut. Any chronic state of inflammation in small intestine will result in damage to the epithelial and cause your immune system to react to whole food protein-
  16. @ eatmeat4good - thanks for the info. More light trading... I think I'm going to get a degree in nutrition by proxy here in a few more months. Ha!
  17. My ND has indicated that doing a blood test for antibodies against foods (for the life of me I do not remember the name of the test of the type of antibody... I will look around for the test info) will indicate what undigested proteins may be getting through. The way I understand his theory is that your body should not be producing antibodies against say...
  18. Sorry all, I started writing one thing and got side tracked with a question that came to mind, and posted this before I meant to. Anyway, on Earl Mendells Vitamin Bible: I've been using it as something of a guide to track down loose ends as to my wife's energy levels and ongoing symptoms in spite of the gluten-free diet. Some supplements (Dexatrol...

    ARCHIVED Doctors

Congratulations on feeling better! Leave it to a doctor to make you feel bad about feeling better. The more and more I interact with them, the more and more impatient I get with them.
  20. Hello all, So here is what I want to run by the crowd: Has anybody had tried the "1st step for energy" B12 shot (think shooter not injection)? Just want to see if anybod has gotten sick before I try to convince my wife to try it to jump start her morning. Dustin
  21. Has any one tried these B12 Energy Shots (drink type shots) by "1st step for energy"? I haven't been able to find anything saying that they are or are not gluten free but I wanted to see if it would be an option for getting thing jump started for my wife in the mornings.
  22. Funny story, I think that my wife has a sulfite allergy as well. Recently picked up the Apple Cin gluten-free Chex and she had 3 bad days until (we couldn't figure out why... nothing else in our routine had changed) so did a little comparison between the gluten-free chex and the only think that was different was the sulfites (for the apple I assume).
  23. No kidding it NEVER is one thing. My fianc
  24. Do you know where you can find out if and or what midications contain gluten?
