  1. OKay... as you may recall from the thread "I am begining to doubt" I have ben gluten-free for 2 months, not getting muhc better, still anemic, etc. My son was postivly diagnosed (see sig), and I have alot of unresloved symptons that fit celiac disease. Decided to eat some chololate cake as a test (cant afford Entorlab, and insurance wont pay for blood work...
  2. Odd... I would never have thought that becuase one person likes a food, and another does not, it would be called "controversial"... seems silly, cause then ever single peice of food ever created is controversial!
  3. HAve not seen Ian's around here... what is "controversial" about them?
  4. Based on her post she did not drink the coffee from the shop, or eat anything else. If thats the case I would guess she either got some crumbs on the cup and transfered them to her mouth (via food later, ot bitting nails, etc), or the gluten happened else where. Of course it possilbe she just merely got a stomache virus....
  5. Some one on this board recomended them a while back. My toddler son loved them for about 2 weeks... now he wont touch them(typical)... so we stopped buying them for now. We have to drive 45mins to the closest store that carries them. They dont taste like the Tyson ones that he loved before his celiac disease Dx, if they did he prbly eat them hand and fist...
  6. "natural charcoal" ? Is that someting thats clearly labled on the package?
  7. I have seen a few threads here on which carcoals to aviod when grilling... but which that are easily advialbe are safe?

  10. It was posted here on this board that ALL LAYS STAX are not only gluten-free, but on a seperate line from the gluten stuff. We eat them constantly here heh. Even use them to make gluten-free Chicken Nuggest now. I dont bother with any other chip since I have a varity with Stax that I like, and know are safe. Some of them are albed "This product is naturally...
  11. Maybe its just me.. but why in the world would there be anything outher then peanuts and salt in planters peanuts? I do not eat peanuts, so I never looked.... but its all these stupid useless addtives that cause so much trouble. If it was me, I would look for a brand that has only peanuts and salt. Just like I only eat Kroger Natural Peanutbutter, for that...
  12. Well in all serousness. I realy was not cheating, I needed to know. My GI doc told me "If you were a test question, the answer would be celiac disease" but he refused to dx me with it. My general practictioner wont do anything if the GI doc does not bless it first, so I was fraily stuck. I wanted to do the rest of the blood test, or entrolab.. but since insurance...
  13. *UGH* Welp just out of the bathroom long enough to tell you I BELIEVE!
  14. Many times... but I can not afford it.
  15. I am a stupid idiot. Decide to eat some cake and see what happend. Now Im in pain, and etc. Stupid Stupid Stupid Stupid. Hope my toddler son grows up smarter then me.
  16. Only 1 of the four blood tests, doc said insurance will not cover all 4. And the house is completely gluten-free, if not my son's diapers would let me know thats for sure! LOL
  17. Welp my son diagnosed with celiac disease, and the diet has done wonders for him, and I am very sure of his diag... For a while I thought I might have celiac disease too since I am anemics with no cuase, and I get the pains, gas, etc. In fact my GI doc said "if you were a test question, the aswer would be an easy celiac disease". They only did one blood test...
  18. Its your gut if you want to eat there, I for one will not risk my toddler again. He only had MickeyD's fires once, and it was very bad. So long as I am detriming to food, he wont have to go through that again. At least not with McDonald's fries... their are many other optertunites for a screw up, no need to go looking there! heh Tha being said, I hope...
  19. I think its prbly just best to stay way from anything in a deep fryer unless you have good reason to beliver other was on that pictular day. I used to be a short order cook and we only had 1 fryer, and in went fries, nuggets, etc. Man if I knew about celiac disease then I would have pushed for a second fryer....
  20. Why do you promote Mckdonalds so much? Just being nosey, you so gunho on them, depsite the many many negative epxerences that ppl here have had, you keep telling ppl to go back.. so just wondering why? No real reason, just being nosey. Personally, I do not consider them to be gluten-free because we have had problems there, as many others have, and I...
  21. As I said before my my son has been glutend by mcDonlad fires... I would HIGHLY recomed celiac disease ppl stay away from Mcdonalds fries. I tend to stay away form the whole place, figure if they messing up something that simple, the rest is suspect. And I far form the only one here that has had problems... in fact it seems MOST ppl do. NO offense...
  22. I thought my wife called them about these and they were okay... I need to sak her when I get home from work...
  23. Rules or not, McDonalds has a bad rep for doing that... wont trust my son's gut to them, made that mistake once before I knew better and thats enough.
