  1. I am SOOOOOOOOO happy we had a son. I would not know what to do with a baby girl.
  2. OKay Im back! All went fine at the good old RedCross, and I got a new t-shirt too. Good thing cause never can have to many!
  3. Yes, and thank you for moving it after I posted asking you to. Your a very useful moderator
  4. Thats great Donna!!!
  5. Bernice, I am gald for you that the endscope was corret, and I ma gald your feeling better. I wont bother to aruge with you about the scope, the simple facts of teh case are clear enough, and bisopy is not a good test. Many many ppl here are living proof of that, and thankfully they do not share your blind faith in that test so that they to can feel better...
  6. HHEHE, I guess that will be my job in R-Ville, offical rule breaker
  7. Yes this board combines posts if they are to close together by the same person with no other posts between. I HATE THIS FEATURE AND TURNED IT OFF ON MY BOARD. But.. since its on here, it counts the emotes per post, and since you posted twice you get 40 emotes instead of 20.. the side effect is that you can not edit thepost cause after its combined it counts...
  8. COUNTING SMILIES (okay the limit is 20 per post, but I think i know a way to beat it ) test yep! I did 21 in that post :P:P:P:P :P:P:P:P:P :P:P:P :P:P:P:P :P:P:P:P ha! works everytime too
  9. Sorry, but your not correct on that. The biopsy can very easly miss damage, and the skill of the doctor has nothing to do with it, since the damage is NOT visible durring the endoscopy. Like I said, even the most diehard of enscopy fans will tell you it can never rule out damage, or celiac disease. Its impossible with that test. All it can do is confirm a...
  10. Nantzie, Sorry to break it to you, but thats not true. Bisopies miss damage all the time. If you have celiac disease, you will get damage from gluten. How much is just a function of time and exposure...
  11. What she told me on the phone is that to complete the surgery they need the blood from 2 ppl, and they like to have a third just in case something happens. Since they are doing heart surgery, its a given that there will be alot of blood loss.
  12. Hoepfull some moderator will move this to "Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms"
  13. Well I dunno when the next time I will see him.. but he is a bit over zealous about avoiding allergens, in fact when my son tested postive for eggs, he suggested we aviod shell fish, and all nuts to "just to be safe" because if you have one food allergy you are at a higher risk for others. So if there was a chance (which the links you posted suggest) , he...
  14. In America, yes SOME experts agree with that statement. Not everywhere, and not everyone. It is an outdated test that even in America is slowly (VERY) being regonized as such. Even a GI doc will tell you it can never rule out celiac disease it can only confirm a celiac disease diagonoses. If it is not postive, its results is meaningless. It is actually never...
  15. My son's algery doc said that Cocnuts are a tree nut, and ppl with treenut allergies will react to them. The lab testing sheet for the blood alergy also had them catogrized as a treenut. Thats all I know!
  16. Bisopy is a poor way to test for Celiac, so I would not put any faith in those results. There are a few testing options for you at this stage... 1) If you can afford it you can do the stool test with Entrolab, but its almost never covered by Insurance and runs several hundred dollars. 2) You can make an appt with a GI and request the full blood...
  17. To catch you up, cause you prbly need to know.. charcole filters MAY contain wheat, MOST contian cocnut husks (a tree nut btw). Some ppl here are reporting they go sick from thier filtered water and by buying good bottle water seemed to get better. So yea, the stupid filters we put on our water to make the water safe MAY be making it worse....
  18. Hows everyones water challanges comming?
  19. DID I mention I HATE shoe shooping? I did try to get running shoes yesterday and I could not find a single pair to fit. I was able to find my "size" ( 9 1/2 - EEEE) but the heels felt like they sliding off, but in the 9's my big toe felt like it was scatching the front of the shoe every step. The width was a little snug, but I think it would stretch okay...
  20. Talked breifly with TCA this AM, sounds like they have car issues now so I will be running over to the RedCross to donate in place of her husband. If they do not get the car fixed in time to get up here next week, I might load up in my Durango and go get them (I forgot to offer that so posting it here incase she reads this before calling me back!). So pray...
  21. I guess I can walk on tread mill in hiking boots, since I use to do my 90 min around the nieghborhood tour in them....
