  1. Dr insists I'm severely depressed and needed an antidepressant......just found out I'm pregnant, so anyone think my fatigue is depression related lol!
  2. This is my 3rd my boys are 5 & 9 and I haven't seem my primary doctor yet so she doesn't know but I did call the reproductive clinic to let them know we didn't need their services anymore and the nurse was completely shocked! The endocrinologist told me he didn't expect gluten free to make any difference well apparently he couldn't have been more wrong...
  3. I never changed it lol! This was definitely not an intentional thing lol
  4. Very glad I listened to everyone on this board and did not go right for an antidepressant. I took a pregnancy test today and was SHOCKED to see 2 lines! No wonder I'm tired lol my body is healing and growing a human.
  5. No zinc and I'm seeing yet another dr sometime this week. Unfortunately my choices are pretty limited as we live in a small community and I can't go to a specialist without a referral, every doctor I've seen wont give me one because they don't feel I need it. They treat me like a hypochondriac...sorry I want to be healthy. I watch what I eat very closely...
  6. I don't know what the actual levels are, I will let you know when I receive them in the mail. I'm so sick of them ignoring me. I have another doctor I'm going to try who I guess is really a believer of all natural so I'm hoping he can help.
  7. Just spoke with the nurse (read the letter to me that the doctor is sending) she said my iron level was on the low side but doesn't think it's causing my symptoms. Vitamin d and b12 were both in the normal range. Thryoid levels were also normal. At this time she recommends that I consider an antidepressant as she feels that is what's causing my fatigue...
  8. Another thing that is driving me crazy is my hair is falling out horribly and it used to be curly now it's straight and stringy....so sad =(
  9. I chose to skip the biopsy because my oldest had an inconclusive one a few years ago and his blood test came back positive this time (he's checked every 3 years as part of his annual screening). My doctor was completely comfortable diagnosing off blood test alone in combination with symptoms and the fact that I have 5 first cousins with it lol. I could...
  10. Thanks for the supplement tips I will be making a trip to target this weekend to add a few things and I'm suppose to get a letter from the doctor with her report. We live in a very rural area so finding a doctor who understand celiacs is nearly impossible so I need to advocate for myself. My house is completely gluten free, everything has been checked and...
  11. Hi all! I was diagnosed back in November with celiacs. I have been very diligent since the day my blood was drawn to eat 100% gluten free. My diagnosis didnt come as a shock since I have a family history of it but at the same time it was frustrating because it took 3 years to be diagnosed. I went to the doctor constantly because of joint and bone pain...
  12. We didn't prevent this month lol but will be trying another cycle of fertility meds in march? My endocrinologist still insists I have pcos and that celiacs is not the problem. I think he's miss informed but I'm fine doing the meds since they cant really hurt and if it improves our chance more than yay. Fingers crossed and baby dust to you!

    ARCHIVED Red Robin

I happened to read this thread before we made a trip to Minneapolis (4 hours from where we live) so we decided to have lunch at red robin since it was close and wow am I glad we did!!! The manager came out and told me all about what they do to avoid cross contamination, they actually had a menu I could choose from and the food was amazing!!!! Very happy...
  14. You and I are in the same boat =) we are going to start trying...again in a couple months. Been gluten free since November and for the first time in 3 years I ovulated this months without meds so so far so good. Good luck!!!!
  15. Completely gluten free.....myself and my oldest are blood test confirmed Celiac and my youngest (5) is having a biopsy soon, I think he has it as well. I am also a daycare provider and they eat gluten free and love it. I'm very strict with no outside food policies and all guests are asked to wash hands when they enter our home. Since going gluten-free...
  16. I live in northern mn and there is nothing here, trying to find food takes me to 3 grocery stores so I definitely feel your pain. Hang in there. Jess
  17. We live in a very small town and the restaurants here are not gluten free lol! No app for that necessary, I'm going to download the other one though...thanks!
  18. Thanks!!!
  19. Does anyone use an app on an iPad (iPhone or iPod) that is useful in finding gluten free products. Thanks! Jess
  20. I grew 2 inches after high school while I was going through basic training lol! I stared mine around 12 so that growth was amazing perk for me. Jess

  22. I'm new to being gluten free but I recognize grief when I see it. At 19 years old I had a child with down syndrome and everybody wanted to tell me how to handle my pain but you have to grieve however you need to grieve. I commend you on your honesty and hope that it may be a step towards healing for you. It's a hard thing to feel broken inside but please...
  23. I sent you a private message....Sam also has speech apraxia but he is gaining new words like crazy! He's not a picky eater so being told no is hard especially when he will eat anything lol! We live in a rural community so going out to eat hasn't happened yet but maybe someday.
  24. I tend to run fevers as well and have night sweats something fierce when I have gluten. I'm currently on day 4 of feeling like poo from accidentally eating it. My son (9 w/down syndrome) was also diagnosed shortly before thanksgiving. It's so frustrating not knowing how he's feeling. I'm definitely feeling the pressure to not miss a thing with him. ...
  25. Thanks for all the advice glad to know this normal lol sucks to have stomach problems now but hopefully it will get better. My 9 year seems totally fine with the change so thank goodness for that. ....Jess
