  1. I just had to do my thyroid panels today because they are thinking I have Hypothyroidism, along with the Prolactinoma (pituitary tumor) and low cortisol, and I have been gluten free for almost a year now.
  2. Reminder to self: When heading into Seattle, ALWAYS WEAR MAKEUP. Ran into 4 or 5 hot guys today and I looked like utter shit. Damn!!

  3. Endo has officially taken me off of the meds. That side effect with my heart was a major one and could have killed me. So, in about 2 weeks, I will have a surgery consult. So I will be definitely be having surgery sometime in the near future. :-/
  4. Endo took me off of the prolactin meds. I have a surgery consult in around 2 weeks. Yayyyy.

  5. So, the Endo has taken me off of the prolactin meds, and I have a surgery consult in about 2 weeks. So I guess I'll going under the knife sometime this year. Wooo.
  6. Oh, also, if you're a gamer, come to Seattle sometime for PAX! It's EVERYTHING gamer convention, from board games to all video games and more! So much fun!
  7. I'm all about the board games, playing on Pogo a lot and play all the music games on my 360. I want my Lollipop Chainsaw game back sooo bad! Stupid ex taking it and trading it in so HE could get a new game. Grrrr.
  8. My stepdads brother is like that. If it's nothing something exactly to his taste or what HE wants to do, he b%$@#es and bails. It's the most annoying thing in the world. He always makes his mom who is in her late 60's, host ALL of the holiday events and now that Thanksgiving is gluten free and I cook EVERYTHING, he acts like a little brat that it's not what...
  9. New meds already not tolerated well....shhiiittt.

  10. So, I started my new meds today and after about an hour, my heart was pounding so hard and fast I thought it was going to burst out of my chest, that's in addition to the same GI side effects as the other one. I'm going in today for my thyroid tests and am going to stop by my endo's to tell her and see what she says. Looks like surgery may very well be in...

  12. Endocrinologist is putting me on a new hormone therapy for the tumor since the current meds are making me so sick. If this doesn't work then surgery will probably be the next step.

  13. I talked to my Endo today and they are putting me on a different medication for the tumor since the Cabergoline is making me really sick. I start it today and if it makes me sick as well, then the next step will probably be surgery.

  15. Being able to get rid of this pain in my body and my head would really be amazing right now...

  16. You are both too kind, and Kamma, you seem even more strong and badass than I am
  17. Awesome. Not only do I have multiple "friends" who flake/bail on me, but now family as well. That's fan-fucking-tastic. I've hit my wall on giving a fuck about people at this point.

  18. I'd just bring my own snacks for the day and if they ask you why, then just let them know about your Celiac.
  19. It can only function normally with hormone therapy the rest of my life. After going through daily migraines, kidney stone 6 different times and the Celiac, I think I can pretty much get through anything at this point.
  20. Wish I could go to the Celiac Expo in Cali. Maybe next year I'll be in a better place financially and figure out a way to go.

      kareng

      Me too. Sounds so fun!

  21. The Cabergoline is making me insanely ill. We are hoping my body will adjust to is after a month or so. I go in to get my blood work done to see if it's making any difference or not, and then an MRI in 3 months to see if it's doing it's job with shrinking the tumor. I also need to go and get my thyroid panels done because they are pretty sure I have hypothyroidism...
  22. Oh wow, I'm surprised they haven't done surgery to take yours out. It's only 1mm from being a macro AND going towards your optic chiasma. So, is it not active/producing extra hormones and that's why they haven't done anything about it?
  23. So, how are things going with the tumor? Is it active? Have you started any hormone treatments and/or surgery? Just wondering because I was diagnosed with a 7mm pituitary tumor, and it is actively producing prolactin. I just started my hormone therapy to start hopefully shrinking the tumor and balancing out my prolactin levels. Hope all is well and that the...
  24. Unfortunately, which my pituitary tumor and possible hypothyroidism, I haven't been one of the many lucky people to lose weight after going gluten-free. Crossing my fingers I will start losing weight if all of this hormone therapy starts to work. I'm 26 as well, and I was diagnosed last April, and have been gluten-free as soon as I got the diagnosis. Hope...
  25. God is dead, and no one cares. If there is a hell, I'll see you there. ;)
