  1. Mashed potatoes have failed, but I will try the applesauce and rice. Thanks! It's much better than nothing! We shall see after tomorrow night if either of those will work. I take my next dose tomorrow night.
  2. That's just awesome. Artificial sweeteners are one of my migraine triggers. For f*cks sake, I swear they just want people to be in pain >.<
  3. So, one of the major side effects I get from this hormone therapy is that food goes just straight through me. When you're sick like that, what do you eat/drink that has helped keep nutrients in you? I'm just so afraid is eat because I know it's going to hurt really bad and it will not stay in for very long..... I drink a lot of vitamin water to make sure...
  4. You'll be fine. I was misdiagnosed for 10+ years and I'm fine. I was diagnosed last year, and I recently had all of my blood work checked and all of my levels are normal and healthy already. You will heal faster than you would think. Glad you're on your way to start feeling better!
  5. Haha, for all I know, since I haven't been out to be social in almost a month now, they very well may act like that. Rich people problems. Gotta love it! I'm watching a Real Housewives of Jersey marathon. Man, I love it. Makes me feel like I'm not so whiney when I'm sad about my health when I see them crying because they broke a damn nail.
  6. I'm all about my guilty pleasure of reality TV; I watch a lot of Bravo
  7. To Those Who Want To Know: I started my hormone treatment this week to start the process of shrinking the tumor and balance out my Prolactin levels. Unfortunately, the meds have made me really, really sick. So, for anyone who wants to see me, for the next month, you'll have to come out to Renton, to my home, to see me. It would be nice to have company every so often...

  8. This new hormone treatment for the tumor is really killing me. Holy hell.

  9. So, Tuesday I started my hormone treatment to hopefully shrink the tumor and balance my Prolactin levels and hopefully gain back my fertility. Unfortunately, the hormones are making me insanely ill (it makes me feel like I was glutened, times 100) and we won't know if it's working for a couple of months. I have no idea how I'm going to find the strength...
  10. Always assume that there aren't designated prep areas and designated friers unless they actually specify otherwise. Better safe than sorry, and the truth of the matter is, most places either don't care or they just aren't actually taught how to make things safe. Unfortunately, most places only say it's gluten free to get those who are doing it as a fad diet...
  11. Oh kitten sneezes, they are so cute yet so sad. My kitties will sneeze out of the blue and will look so confused like "what the hell was THAT!?", hehe. It's probably just kitteh allergies though if nothing else seems to be wrong
  12. I have 7 tattoos and counting. In April will be my year of being diagnosed and being gluten free, so I'll be getting my tattoo for that in April. I joke around with my mom calling it my "gluten edge", like being straight edge, so I'm going to get an "XXX" but the X's are going to be wheat stalks.
  13. Gotta love that I can't just have a cold. I have to make sure I don't go into adrenal stress\failure. Yay! !

  14. I hope this is just a nasty cold and not the beginnings of strep.

  15. Is there anyone who would be kind enough to take a girl who feels like shit to her doc's appointment? :-\

  16. Once I can get this migraine to go away, I'm finally going to make gluten-free Stroganoff for the first time. I miss it's yummyness!

  17. Ask the doctor that diagnosed you. If they are Naturopathic doctor, they should be all about getting you to see a Nutritionist. Any nutritionist will have the knowledge you are seeking to help you with the gluten free diet.
  18. Since it's not something they can "see", most people just don't get it. It's along the same lines as PTSD or any other mental illness. If a person isn't "visibly" ill, like coughing, bleeding, or anything like that, people just assume that it's not that big of a deal. Most people lack the ability to empathize already, but when it comes to something they don...
  19. Oh, the stupidity! How it burns!
  20. Whoa, it's super icky outside. I got home just in time!

  21. Going out to the Nectar Lounge tonight with Nessa to see my friends States and Minds play. It'll be nice to have some fun out of the house. :}

  22. So, it is looking like I'll be getting a "green card" here very soon to help with my pain so I'm not on Percocet all of the time. Oh, and I found out the I am currently infertile because of the tumor producing so much prolactin.... that kind of hit me hard.

  23. Yeah, I did. I don't want to use bread crumbs though, I want to try and get the batter to be as close to the real deal as possible. Deep frying things with bread crumbs just isn't the same. I'm from the south originally, I miss my old deep fried goodness.
  24. Just turned 26 last month.
  25. So today I found out that with the type of tumor I have with the prolactin really high, I am currently infertile. That was a huge hit to me. We are hoping that once the tumor has been reduced in size, and my hormone levels get back to normal, I will become fertile again. *crossing fingers* The docs have confirmed that the tumor is the cause of my pain...
