  1. Hi, I'm kind of new here. I'm glad I saw this thread. My 5yodd was diagnosed this summer with celiac disease. She has been gluten-free since Aug. Already there is so much improvement in her personality and energy level, but I've been worrying about her memory. She just can't seem to keep things in her brain. We go over the days of the week almost daily...
  2. My son had reflux. It was miserable. Finally he was put on Prevacid, and that helped. He outgrew the reflux by 1yr. Also my dr. had me cut out dairy. It turns out he's dairy sensitive. In addition to the reflux he would get rashy, bumpy patches on his chest, legs, rear-end, face and arms (I guess that's the whole body!). When I stopped eating all...
  3. Hi, I'm new here. My 5yo dd was diagnosed positive for celiac last Wed, and my dh this Thursday. I also have a 7yo (negative) and a 2 3/4 yo (will have to be retested). I guess one thing I really need to know is how to set up my kitchen. What special utensils, pots, baking things, etc. do I need? Thanks, Laurie
  6. Hi, I'm new here. My 5yo dd was just diagnosed with Celiac, after a positive blood test and endoscopy. I also have a 7yo and 2.5yo who are negative, and waiting on my dh's endoscopy result. We will be meeting with the Nutritionist on Wed. I've been reading on this board, and I have to admit I'm a bit freaked out about the list of gluten-free school...
  7. Hi, I'm new here. My 5yo dd was just confirmed positive for Celiac after her positive blood test and endoscopy. Our whole family took the test because my husband's niece has it. My dd is the only other positive in the whole extended family, so now we know it came from one of my dh's parents. My niece was breastfed, and I nursed my dd for almost 2 years...
