  1. Lisa...thats amazing!! I'm so excited that this is working for you! You've come a LONG way in a short time. I told my Mom last night...she was happy for you too.
  2. Yeah...definately missing the bigger picture. This is pretty much all that the conventional side offers (I think)....and I do think its important and it helps...but there is nothing addressed as far as underlying issues....its all just "training". The problems that are causing the autism dont get resolved this way. I think if you are addressing the underlying...
  3. Oh yeah Paula.....even if she DOES put them on the diet....the enzymes are still really helpful.
  4. Mia...thanks....that would be great if you could find out!
  5. Theres alot of things that can help.....but each child has their own issues.....its not the same for everyone. For starters the gluten free/ casein free diet. That one is pretty much a no brainer. If she's not willing to do it....then yeah...enzymes would be useful. Not just any enzymes though...it would need to be the ones with DPPIV. Epson salt baths...
  6. Ok. Thanks. How soon after you started it did you notice improvement?
  7. Paula...what do you mean "autism testing"? As far as I know there isnt a specific test for it......it just is what it is. I dont know about the laws or anything like that. I only know about the testing/treatment aspect of it. Most of that stuff is "biomedical"....its outside of the mainstream...and probably alot of it isnt covered by insurance. I...
  8. I found audio files on Zeolite. Its good stuff....check it out. Open Original Shared Link ....AND...there is this ---> "Important: NCD's beneficial effect with yeast" So yeah...I'm gonna listen to these files and then I'm gonna order it. ....and then I'm gonna eat pizza....hehe. Seriously, I dont know if it'll help......
  9. Well...I have no idea cuz I'm not a "scientist" and I dont know a whole lot about zeolites. BUT....I'm thinking there's a *possibility* it could be helpful with oxalates. I'm not so sure it can do anything about phenols or candida byproducts (alcohol and acetaldehyde)....but if it can pick up metals...it *might* do something about oxalates?? Dunno...
  10. Kassandra, Glad you're back.....sorry you had to go through all of that scary stuff yesterday. Yeah...you can suddenly become allergic out of nowhere. My body reacts to things but I've never had any true allergic reactions...nothing as scary as an anaphylatic episode. So I'm glad you're ok now.
  11. Thanks Julie....I just did. I forgot about that one! I actually have Pure Encapsulations Magnesium...but I react to it!! I dont know what the heck it is about all these supplements. I do ok with my enzymes....but not much else. I have a feeling I'll have the same problem with their Calcium if I order it...so I'm gonna hold off for now...
  12. What test did you do for disccharides? I tried SCD a couple years ago and quickly got much worse. I couldnt handle any of the SCD foods.....phenols and all of that.
  13. Lisa, How does zeolite compare to something like DMPS?? Is zeolite mainly for metals? What other toxins can it deal with?
  14. LOL.....yeah...but I still think that back when you were "super toxic" you could have turned that pan black and then turned that pizza to wax...before anyone even got a chance to taste it. The gloves wouldnt have done much to protect the pizza (or the pan) back then. I'm still impressed. I'm still gonna get me some zeolite.
  15. I believe citric acid is from aspergillus specifically. Maybe you're sensitive to aspergillus?? Damn...I wish I could I could have a beer and feel fine!! OK...I need supplement help! I need calcium citrate....without any Vit. D added in. Just plain calcium....NO excipients and no other unnecessary junk. I just need calcium....is that too much...
  16. So the GI is not only ignorant about Celiac Disease....but he has no clue about Lyme Disease as well. Great. Its absoulutely not true that Lyme is unlikely on the west coast....Lyme is *everywhere*. Take a look at the Lyme Disease thread if you're interested.
  17. I agree 100% I try to stick to grass fed organic as much as possible...and it has nothing to do with gluten.
  18. Thanks for the update Carla. So I guess it was anaphylactic. Poor thing....I hope this reaction passes quickly so that her pain eases up and so that she can go home. Tell her we're all thinking of her!
  19. We're a friendly group. Glad you werent intimidated by the size of the thread (lots of people are)....just pop in whenever you want. We're always here.
  20. Yeah.....it sounds to me like your problems began as a child....the antibiotics probably set you up for alot of what you're dealing with now. You then probably went into remission....like many Celiacs do during those pre-teen/early teenage years. I hoenstly dont think that things were "fine"....but your immune system had the ability at...
  21. Ok....this is what I was wondering about. In my opinion you had problems which are not unlike other Celiacs who had symptoms that "disappeared" for awhile during pre-teen/teenage years.....only to come back later....and sometimes with a vengeance. So I think whatever happened when you had that "attack" was your "trigger"...so you developed full...
  22. There's no way to know what came first the chicken or the egg.....but in your case if you do have Celiac Disease...that would have been putting alot of stress on your immune system. It would have also been causing damage to your intestinal lining (obviously)....this can leave your immune system weak and less capable of fighing off the pathogens. You...
  23. I dont have all the answers...just giving you direction. These are good places to start looking. If you read the first article he mentions the fact that in these patients who have learning disabilities, pshychiatric disorders, allergies, etc....ALSO have digestive symptoms. However, the other issues are much more severe so the patient is only mentioning...
  24. Kassandra, You might want to look at this link about the dysbiosis problems. Open Original Shared Link It talks about iron deficiency as a result of damaged glut flora. Certain pathogenic bacteria in the gut are "iron-loving". They can consume the iron which you take in through your diet...leaving you anemic. It says "Unfortunately supplementing...
  25. Go for it Paula! Feel free to quote whatever you like. Theres some crazy stuff back in the pages of summer 2006....it was quite the party!
