    Has anyone used IGENX and tested Negative??? All kinds of people test negative but this does not rule out Lyme Disease. I had some positive bands but my test was negative. Lyme testing is not black and white and this is why Lyme is primarily a clinical diagnosis....based on symptoms and history. These tests cannot be used to rule out Lyme. Does everyone...

    Amaranth doesnt taste bad at all. Unfortunately, I cant tolerate it but its not a severe reaction like I've experienced with qunioa. There's a cereal called "amaranth snaps"....its pretty tasty.     I have had severe symptoms from quinoa....actually worse than gluten for me! I seem to have problems with most high oxalate foods....and the alternative grains cause worse reactions for me than wheat (but I'm gluten intolerant and not Celiac).     April, Its the CDSA that tests for good/bad bacteria and other digestive markers. I've done this test in the past but need to repeat it. Its a 3 day stool test. I had some complications with it last month because of constipation...so I have to start over. Anyways, thats the test which lets you know about the levels of beneficial bacteria...

    If apples are his absolute favorite it could definately be a sign that he'll benefit from the Feingold diet. Apples are one of the top foods to avoid.....and the kids do tend to have very strong cravings for these foods. Good luck with it. Epsom salt baths can also be very helpful.
